Registan is the place why so many of us foreigners come to Uzbekistan. This is a unique cultural and religious monument.
Make sure to get your guide. Right after you purchase and enter the complex, on your right there will be a booth where you can get a guide. A tip would be to test their english. Because some guides speak great english, while others struggle which makes the whole experience unbearable.
Also try to visit early in the morning when there are few people. In the evenings the lighting of the complex is majestic and one should certainly get back to see that in the evening.
The parking lot is right across the complex.

Registan in Samarkand is an amazing place that is simply a must-visit! Magnificent mosques and madrasas with exquisite patterns create a unique atmosphere. A walk through the square fills you with a sense of history and greatness. The evening lights are especially impressive, which give this place magic. I recommend setting aside time for a guided tour to enjoy every detail. Definitely worth a visit!

It's a great place to visit. The entrance is paid to visit the madrasah. Inside the madrasah, the crafts of Samarkand and the sale of peasant products are presented. The architecture is impressive. Inside the madrasah there are beautiful ceilings, walls, courtyards. It's worth a visit. In the evening, there is a light show that you can watch without entering the square. There are steps there, you can sit there and watch the show. It's better to come somewhere at 20:50. The duration is about three musical compositions. The laser show was not caught. it is unclear when it happens. There are many parks and cafes nearby. A great place to walk.

Interesting, beautiful, bright and atmospheric!You can watch the evening color show from the observation deck, and in the afternoon it is better to visit the complex inside, wander around the benches, drink a cup of Turkish coffee on the balcony of the madrasah.I advise you to visit, you will not regret it.The beauty of the blue domes conquers during the day!
