"A THING IN ITSELF" - AND FOR YOURSELF?". Although in such an institution (in our purely amateurish opinion), life should be in full swing from early morning to late evening. And the people are swirling, and the doors are not closing. (Almost like in Smolny in 1917). And we have seen similar centers in different countries, in particular, in the Czech Republic, in Poland, and in Brest (somewhere on the outskirts and not in the first line of houses). And everywhere there were complaints, everywhere it seemed that this whole system was inactive and weak. But so that, like here, this could not be seen anywhere: in the depths of a fenced-in courtyard, in the backyard of the Swedish embassy, with a small sign and a flag over an electronically locked door, without a single poster about anything... And even then they couldn't find the site on the Internet. As if not in a fraternal and - and allied - country, but in a deep underground. It is difficult to imagine a better illustration of the lack of public presentation of any work on the promotion of Russian science and culture. (We cannot say that it does not exist at all, but it is not visible). It becomes clear why, for example, the whole city is not hung with posters of pre-Christmas and New Year concerts such as "Artists of Russia in Belarus". And we did not see posters of various joint scientific forums between Russia and Belarus. But it seemed that there were more signs of various kinds of establishments in English - both Latin and Cyrillic - than in Belarusian and Russian combined. Since the holy place is never empty... p.s. And as additional information for reflection: I remembered the arrows of the huge Stalinist skyscrapers in Prague and Warsaw, stretching high into the sky, in which such institutions were located in Soviet times.
