My sister and I have been vacationing for 3 years in a row at the Shikhovo sanatorium, which is located 10 km from the fabulous city of Baku. The rest time was the same from 25.07. to 06.08. 2024 .They flew there as guests, but they accepted us as their own people.We lived in a 2-bed, luxurious room with a sea view.The chief physician of this sanatorium, Gultakin Khanum, is an amazing, open-minded and kind-hearted woman simply from God.Thanks to her communication skills and efforts, the rating of the sanatorium is higher every year.All the years there was a therapist with a Capital Letter Shafach Khanum at the reception, she is very attentive to every vacationer, prescribes complexes of procedures from which there is a result.Many thanks and thanks to the masseurs Tous Khanum and Elmira Khanum, they have just magical hands, the beauty Esmira Khanum on the Naftalan procedure, Gulvatyn Khanum on the baths.It's hard to remember all the names, so everything is honey.thank you very much to the staff at all procedures, without exception, they are all masters of their craft.The sanatorium has two bosseins, one with sea water, the other ordinary. The big plus is that the visit is not limited in time, this happens very rarely.Buffet meals, everything is always fresh, delicious pastries, everything suited us. We are also grateful to the friendly maids Mila and Elena, they helped solve any issues.After the procedures, you can go to the city or visit a Tea house in a sanatorium, drink fragrant tea with jam to the live sound of a saxophone and violin is just chic. We took a tour of Baku in the evening, the impressions are indescribable, we just wanted to see everything with our own eyes.Decent shopping can be done in the markets, in malls. Also, this year there was also an acupuncture procedure, conducted by a very competent neurologist Marina Khanum. We are delighted with the kindness, hospitality and attitude of the people of this country towards us.We wish all the employees of this sanatorium and the people of this country health, God's Mercy, prosperity, peace and tranquility. We arrived from there a few days ago. The impressions are only positive.
To begin with, the choice was random, and it turned out to be very successful. The sanatorium is located in the suburbs of Baku, on the shore of the Caspian Sea. The rooms are super clean, at least that's what we had, meals 3 times a day. The kitchen is homemade: meat, fish, vegetables, side dishes - like my grandmother's in childhood. Plus, in the morning, except on Sundays, medical procedures prescribed by a doctor after an examination.In your free time, you can go to the city, either by bus or by taxi. Back also.The prices are acceptable.
There are fish restaurants opposite the sanatorium, which are quite good. A lot of visitors come from the city in the evenings.
The only thing that is not there is an equipped beach, if you want the sea you will need to take a couple of bus stops. There are both paid and free ones.
In general, I am satisfied, my opinion is personal, maybe someone will come and he will not like it. I think I'll come again.
P.S. Young people should think before going there, this place is not for party people for sure.

We were in this sanatorium with my husband and daughter from January 27 to February 7, 2024! To say that you liked it is to say nothing!!! The place is amazing! We were greeted like family! A representative of the sanatorium met Heydar Aliyev at the airport, took him there, told him a lot of interesting things (although it was getting dark, we didn't see much). We were greeted by an absolutely wonderful Sakina, escorted to our room, escorted to dinner, thank you so much for such attention! The room is magnificent, everything is new, in a new building, it smells like a new renovation, everything is in white and gray tones, very clean! The food was very good, although not a buffet (cheese, vegetables, a couple of salads were always there, fruits: oranges, apples, bananas, pomegranates), the portions are quite large, there was more than enough, porridge in the morning to choose from two! We were also satisfied with the treatment, everything is scheduled for all days (except Sunday), people everywhere at the procedures are friendly and attentive! Special thanks to my masseuse Elmira, wonderful, sociable, does well and does not filonite!
The sanatorium has a beautiful swimming pool, which we tried to visit every evening, as well as a sauna and hammam, special thanks to the pool staff, always polite, and waited without complaints if we were late!
In general, I really liked it, we will definitely come back!! The place is very beautiful, the sea is visible from the balcony! In the evenings we went to play backgammon in the teahouse!
You can call a taxi to the city via the Uber app, we actively used it) we walked along the embankment and the old city, Baku is beautiful! Come here safely, you will not regret it!

Two autumn weeks, from September 14 to 28, 2023, spent in the sanatorium "Shikhovo", flew by like a flash, leaving forever in the memories and in the heart, wonderful impressions of a trip and vacation in Azerbaijan and about the hospitable, hospitable and friendly people of this country.
The sanatorium is located in the suburbs of Baku, just 6.5 km from the old city of the capital, on the high shore of a picturesque bay of the Caspian Sea. The possibility of daily contemplation of the beauty of the sea panorama, can not leave anyone indifferent, emphasizing that a person is on vacation!
And although the sanatorium has its own long history, the recent renovation of the buildings, the medical base, and the territory, with children's and sports grounds, deserves high praise.
The comfortable room was pleasant, decorated in soft colors, with organized areas for sleeping (beds are equipped with good orthopedic mattresses) and relaxing - with a TV and a seating area. The room is equipped with air conditioning, a safe, a refrigerator, a wardrobe with a large mirror and hangers, in which a bathrobe and slippers, an extra towel and a sheet (specially for procedures), packed in a convenient package, were nicely "waiting".
Each room has a large balcony with a device for drying clothes and a spacious bathroom with a hairdryer, fragrant accessories for water treatments and delicate colorful towels.
Impressive: spacious, shining white marble, foyer and a beautiful water-wellness complex with 2 swimming pools, sauna and hammam.
The food is always hot and fresh. Delicious, varied, appetizing, satisfying! There is a choice of main dishes, side dishes, salads, vegetables. There were always cuts available (meat, cheese and fruit); fresh bread, muffins, juices, tea.
I would especially like to say about the good medical base of the sanatorium, which could become such in the combination of the presence of natural sources of treatment - hydrogen sulfide water and naphthalan oil, (about which, back in the 13th century, Marco Polo, visiting these places, wrote about "an oily substance that is used not for food, but for the treatment of various diseases and ailments") , as well as modern technologies and equipment for the prevention of diseases and, of course, the high professionalism and dedication of the medical staff of the sanatorium.
We express our sincere gratitude and wishes for health and personal happiness to all the friendly staff of the sanatorium "Shikhovo": the administration, dear doctors and nurses, employees of the catering department and service personnel, thanks to whom our rest, recovery and journey to Azerbaijan was wonderful!

I liked the sanatorium, new large rooms, well-groomed territory, excellent swimming pool, one with sea water. If the room has a view of the courtyard, then the TV does not show in Russian. The food is a buffet, not bad, there are few seasonal fruits, it's boring in the evening.

I want to express my gratitude to all the staff of the sanatorium for their professionalism, kindness, attention. I had a rest in June, I was pleasantly surprised how we were greeted. We arrived at the sanatorium late, i.e. at 22 o'clock. We were met, provided with dinner, provided with comfortable rooms with air conditioning. The procedures are prescribed correctly. I got a massage from Emmy, as I affectionately called her, magical. I would also like to mention Arzu, who will always greet you with a smile. I can't help but mention Sakina. Elmira, Galya, the girls where we took a bath, our professional coach. I received not only treatment, but also positive, which will last for a long time. Thank you all so much for your kind and big hearts.
