If you want to get closer to the locals, take a taxi + and these are elite cars + and rush with the wind) the hotel is located in a tourist area - there is nothing nearby, just go to the next hotel - there are shops there. Periodically there were Vangole and mussels. As for me, it's a three-course meal. But I liked the beach and the hotel grounds. Cute palm trees with hammocks, and the ocean is a fairy tale! Someday I will return to Cuba, but definitely to another hotel.

What would you like to improve: Room cleaning is quite superficial. No matter how many gifts in the form of jewelry, cosmetics and money were left to the maids, the maximum they would do would be to wind swans out of towels, wash the floors a little more diligently than usual, and give two bottles of water instead of one. The bed linen was never changed during the 2 weeks of stay, the mirrors and windows in the room were not wiped, although they were obviously dirty. It seems that the maids have very little time to clean, so they create more of an appearance of cleanliness than they actually clean. Food: the choice and variety of dishes are excellent, but not everything is always fresh. It is suspected that some of the ready-made dishes are overused (from breakfast to lunch, from lunch to dinner), sometimes ignoring the fact that the product is already spoiled. The dishes had to be chosen very carefully. Sometimes there were pebbles in the food, once they found a small piece of wire in the noodles. To begin with, it's the same food all day, no change, no variety, just the same thing. Pumpkin , pumpkin fried , steamed , salty , sweet , in syrup . Sliced carrots!!!! Just slices. Boiled , raw , fried . The beans are dark , parched and tasteless. There is one kind of fish for dinner, a small tray for the whole buffet. There is bread only in the morning . Lunch and dinner are not available. Fruits are not ripe white watermelon, not ripe pomelo , not ripe pineapple, very sour some strange fruit with an asterisk and that's it!!! Let 's move on , a bunch of some kind of jam and pasta . To make you understand the picture clearly, the sausage is diced or grated, which can be sprinkled on top of these pasta! There is a separate fried sausage with pineapple , it 's just grumpy ! Corn fried in fatty oil with Sausage . In snack bars, hot dogs, sausage , two slices of sour beetroot and attention, instead of a bun , fried banana slices . Burgers are also served, with fried banana instead of a bun. There is no pizza at all. The pastries are all made of puff pastry . I had beef and pork for dinner a couple of times. There is no chicken, no soups, no turkey, no seafood at all!!! There are no potatoes, the rice is dry and yellow, even the Europeans do not take it, one tray. There are olives, the cheeses are delicious. That's it!!! That's about it. And it's the same thing every day. For the first few days, I thought that Cuba was so different in terms of food. But!!! We went on an excursion , talked with people from neighboring hotels!!! Of the minuses - 1. leaky seams in the shower, water leaks on the floor, complaints do not respond 2. Stealing. Our sunscreen was stolen, and after contacting the customer service, it was returned. The fracture, the cast is already in Moscow, and the staff absolutely don't care, they looked and smiled. We moved to another hotel, while we were getting ready, about 3 staff members hurried, looked where I would put my things, fortunately I took almost everything, and what I didn't take was left there and no help! It is better to take rooms in separate buildings where it is quieter. Ala carte restaurants are all with disgusting food. You don't even have to sign up. Cockroaches are running around on the walls. At lunch, you can eat at the grill restaurant. And there is a main restaurant where breakfast, lunch and dinner are served. For me, it was delicious only for breakfast. The shower is very far away and works disgustingly, you'll get tired of running after the salt water. About food: everything is there, but it's always the same ... they don't know how to cook, salt and sugar are on request, you queue for scrambled eggs for breakfast, since this is the only compromise)) For lunch, there is an opportunity to eat grilled chicken and pork. From drinks: Coca Cola, sprite, tonic, pineapple and orange juice, some of them disappear for several days)) then there is no cola, then sprite, then cola, juice, tonic ... the sprite just burped in the first 4 days! I don't know about alcohol, I don't drink, but I have rum)) The rooms are cleaned cleanly, but: the door to the balcony does not close, the toilet too, the water barely flows, the safe can be torn off with one hand and this is not only in our room, friends from Toronto settled with a view of the garbage)) St. Petersburg acquaintances paid for a more expensive room, Superior, with bathrobes, a refillable bar and got like everyone else - the lack of bathrobes and a shortage of drinks 😅 Further on about personal hygiene: linen was changed only after 9 days, towels too, had to be put on the ears of the entire staff… We reached the general director, Almadena, by the way, it turned out that last year she was the director of another hotel where we were vacationing, a pleasant lady gave us a bottle of champagne, drove herself to another hotel in her car and said that if we had immediately said that we were regular customers in the Melia network, it would have been in a different way 🤣 But I will continue about towels, they do not have a laundry, they take them to a neighboring city, there are often interruptions in supplies and... that's why they wash towels in the back rooms in the sinks and dry them on the roof)) if possible, I will upload a video! To make amends for the shoals, Almadena offered us a free lobster in the restaurant, recorded it herself at 19:00, all with smiles and apologies ... but they messed up here too)) We arrived at the time and waited for the lobster for 1.5 hours ... we didn't wait and spat ... the next day we served the lobster in a shared restaurant 😅But the most unpleasant thing about this is that before that, a translator came up to us and asked us to sign a document, very competently legally drawn up, where it was indicated that we could not have more claims against them and would not sue, the document in English and its text were accurately translated by our friends from Toronto)) About the translator Catalina: an unpleasant Black woman, obsequious, will not be able to help you in any way, only excuses, she is only interested in tips, chocolates, etc. Of the pleasant ones, we only got a room with an ocean view, she grabbed $ 15 and a chocolate bar, and after that she avoided meetings with us, did not even answer the phone to the headmistress herself 😅 In general summary: we don't set foot in this hotel anymore, despite the decent territory and the ocean, the absence of children, you will see ill-mannered Canadians, middle-class Spaniards, men in skirts and with a beard here)) who come to this hotel to drink and yell until 5 am! Our stay here was smoothed out only by our Cuban friend, the manager and translator from a nearby hotel, meeting good people from Toronto and Nizhny Novgorod!

Delicious cocktails, especially pina colada with coconut rum, were poured at the bar in front of the beach. When returning home, be sure to take burgers at the pool bar, they will save you from hunger) The room is for three, old, sad, but we arrived in a great mood and in general it was all the same. The minimum cleaning of the room was regular, but the bed linen was not changed once, given that sand is pouring from all places, which cannot be shaken off the bed. Towels were changed more often, but still not as often as we would like. Towels, by the way, dry perfectly in the room (the air conditioner worked 24/7). They periodically left $ or Alyonka, I don't know if it motivated the employees) The beach and the ocean are the most important things that people fly so many hours to Cuba for. Here you will be satisfied (and here for the first time I encountered a hot ocean). Tk hotel is 16+, there are no children, everything is quiet and peaceful. And if you go not to the right, where most of the tourists lie, but to the left side of the beach, then you will find a sunbed at any time, plus swim in the ocean alone. For some reason, few people came to that part of the beach, so often there was no one in the immediate radius.
