One of the most famous universities in the world, embodying science, pedagogy, the history of knowledge and just history. He walked around with respect and reverence, singing in a Russian accent: "Gaudeamus igtur, Juvnes dum sumus."
At the same time, I certainly remember about May 1968, when a wave of student riots swept across France, after which the Sorbonne was reorganized and divided into 13 independent universities. Today, the Université de Paris is the collective name for all these universities located in different parts of the city, but the University of Paris itself ceased to exist after these events. Magnificent wall paintings and paintings depicting allegorically the sciences. We visited the grave of Cardinal Richelieu in the Sorbonne Cathedral.
