The best place to stay on Margarita Island. But. This is only if we consider the hotel itself. Because the waves on the beach are too big and it is inconvenient to swim there. For swimming, it is better to go to the beach of the nearby Esperia Hotel. The sea waves are almost imperceptible there. Plus, enjoy walking.
Okay. Let's return to Sansol Ecoland. The territory is divided into several zones, very different from each other, which is very cool for walking at different times of the day.
During the day, you won't be able to spend much time in the sun, as you can immediately get heat stroke if you haven't had time to get used to the heat. Without a panama hat and SPF 50+ cream, there is nothing to do in the sun. Forget about oils and spf30 products, you will get a skin burn for sure. It is better to use cream-based emulsions.
There are two main eating areas. There is a huge barn in the lagoon that is completely enclosed. It is more convenient to eat there in the heat and strong wind. Air conditioners keep cool well. In the oasis, the eating area is open from all sides, and it is more pleasant to have dinner there. It will be hot there during the day. The food is of very good quality and the service is quite good. Live music regularly. But. The set of products on the buffet does not change, and the menu gets boring in two weeks. It makes sense for the hotel to work on this topic. By the way, there is an additional dining area closer to the beach. A large playground under a reed roof. It's usually crowded and cramped, so it's an amateur spot. There are many mini bars on site where alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails are served free of charge. In the evening, you can go to the lighthouse. The views are great, especially when the moon is full. You will need to take powerful flashlights and put on good sneakers. There are a lot of sharp stones underfoot and there may be sharp glass and debris. You can also run into cactus thorns while wearing sandals. It will be very unpleasant, believe me. Strong winds often blow overhead and it is better not to approach the edge, even if you are absolutely confident in yourself. There would be no ambulance lying in the cactus ruins below.
The night lighting of the territory itself is very beautiful and the entire territory of the hotel shimmers. With a good camera, the shots are amazing.
The rooms are very well renovated and they are being properly monitored. The pools are large and clean. The pool water is clean and chlorinated in the evenings. The territory itself is treated with insect smoke in the evenings, so for the most part this is also normal, but sometimes the invasion of flies in the dining areas cannot be avoided.
From the nuances. Sockets are all American (old Chinese) type: two vertical slots ||. Keep in mind. Despite the assurances that adapters can be bought in the shops on the territory of the hotel, they are not on sale there and have never been. You need to take it with you. Also, some brochures say that adapters can be given to you at the reception. The only thing you get there is bulging eyes of surprise. They don't give anything to anyone there. Neither for rent, nor for free. It makes sense for the hotel to work out the issues of installing universal sockets. It doesn't cost millions, and besides, it will remove a mountain of problems for the guests.
The next nuance: the Internet. Extremely poor WiFi coverage. The Internet is distributed by street towers and a few radiators on the roofs. Repeaters in the corridors are practically useless and do not reach deep into the rooms. You need to stick your phone either at the door or on the balcony. Therefore, immediately upon check-in, indicate the need for stable access to the network.
The next moment. Sluggishness of the staff. If you need to bring something or unlock the safe, you need to chat with the hotel on WhatsApp, remind it 100,500 times and monitor it every 5 minutes by reminding.
And probably the last point: At the eviction, before handing over the electronic keys, beach towel cards and bracelets, be sure to take a picture of them in one frame. Arrange them so that all the numbers on the keys and bracelets and the number of cards on the towels are visible. If you lose it, you will be charged $20 for each unit. Interns often work there and accept everything en masse. Then everything gets confused and they start looking for the last one, who lost what. Sometimes they can stand for an hour to figure it out, but someone will be charged the $20. So be extremely careful.

I rested alone on October 24. A hotel with a very large territory and a large beach (it will be difficult for children to swim The Caribbean is exciting, the waves are decent, lifeguards forbade swimming several times) , there is enough space for everyone, the sun beds are filled by 50%. There is enough entertainment from volleyball to golf and a disco at night every day. The food was not bad.
But in general, this hotel has a very beautiful bay. We went to the village several times (5-7 minutes from the hotel) to see how the locals live.

We did not regret that we flew to this hotel for a vacation.The territory is large and well maintained.There is animation every day, though in Spanish.About the food:You won't stay hungry, But there are no frills.(fruits,vegetables,cheese,milk,potatoes,pasta,rice,chicken,beef,fish,lobsters-if you have time, pastries,cakes, much more + national dishes.Excellent sports bar, gym,there is a cinema...I can't count everything..Alcohol flows like a river..The beer is normal, but they pour different things in bottles at different bars.The wine is white, so..I didn't like it at all, I didn't drink stronger drinks, I can't say I got hooked on coffee, it's better than tea.The people are always smiling, friendly, and trying their best to help.
I liked the country.Let's go back again🏖(p.s.but after Dubai it's 😱)

By the nature of my work, I have seen all the hotels on Margarita working with Russians. My opinion is that Ecoland is the best in terms of services, territory, and nutrition. If you don't swim, then maybe the waves will strain you. But if you overpower yourself and go beyond them, then you can perfectly stand and bounce on the waves. If you swim, then the waves are not even noticeable ) I've been to Ecoland several times - I liked everything. The rooms are tired, of course. And it's too bad that Russians don't settle in the Dune building. But these are all small things. Venezuela, like Cuba, is not about comfort... It's about emotions.

A good hotel, at first we were on another island, but also in Sunsol (there was a "wild" vacation, the pool is under restoration, but the beach is gorgeous). There is a large territory, a lot of entertainment, a good gym. The only negative is the waves, because the open sea. But it's Caribbean, so it's all the same, and the 6 pools on the territory are a big plus.
In general, my Husband and I were satisfied. Although we are still here 😅
