The cathedral was built in 1821 in the classical style as the church of the Trinitarian monastery. After the monastery was closed in 1847, it was rebuilt as an Orthodox church. Hence the architectural features. It was closed in 1930. In August 1941, it was opened, and the relics of St. Euphrosyne, Abbess of Polotsk, were transferred from the local anti-religious museum to the cathedral. Then, in the autumn of 1943, the relics were moved to St. Sophia Cathedral, but the cancer remained. He suffered greatly during the war and was recovering for a long time. A very unusual, beautiful cathedral. Be sure to visit.

A beautiful cathedral. A historical place. When you come to the temple, you want to see that people who sell you icons and candles, well, if not with joy, do it, at least not with animal ascal. Still, you need to understand where you work. The cathedral itself is AMAZING!
