The staff is polite and clean. But...It is very stuffy in the rooms on the 2nd floor. There are no screens on the windows, insects fly in. There is only one chair in the double room and it is shaky. I would like to recommend swapping the hanger with the mirror, because it is inconvenient to use a hair dryer, it does not reach the mirror, the outlet is far away. Although Wi-fi is free, it is very often lost.

I chose a hotel on Booking a month and a half before my arrival in Almaty. The reviews are great. But when we arrived, it was unbearably hot in the city, and the room had no air conditioning. We spent one night and moved out. Since it was unbearable to sleep. The hotel itself is located in a good residential area. The room is small. Everything is very modest. There is 1 bath towel and 1 hand towel for two guests. There is a refrigerator in the room! I think it would be possible to live in it, but in cool weather.

We booked rooms through booking, from 3 to 07/07/2022, everything is easy without problems, payment was made in fact, without any prepayment, only a day before arrival we called ourselves and confirmed the reservation. The room is clean, has everything you need: a kettle, glasses, TV, towels, refrigerator, cleaned at the request of the client. Of course, it would have been more comfortable if there had been an air conditioner, given the geographical location, but it is possible that then the price would have been different, and for us this criterion was more important, because we needed the room only for sleeping and washing, and for this there was everything necessary. The staff is polite, they always went to a meeting. We were on our own transport, but it will also be convenient for those who arrive by train, since the hotel is located right next to the railway station, the location itself is very convenient, everything you need is nearby, and a supermarket and parks and an exchange office. Inside there is a shower and toilet, hygiene supplies are included. There is a refrigerator, a kettle, glasses and a small TV. There is no air conditioning. In general, it is not bad and cozy.
There were no neighbors, or they were not noisy. One of the disadvantages is that you need rubber gaskets on the door, they knock loudly.
We found it at a discount booking, it turned out to be 12k tenge, very good for this price.

Not a bad option for your money. Bath accessories (soap, shampoo, toothpaste, brush) are purchased separately, in principle, pennies are not critical. A kettle and glasses are provided on request, and there is a paid laundry service. There were two administrators, one young, the other older. Young and polite. That the older one was rude, but apparently she was just getting a job, since the young one explained everything to her. I could smell cigarettes in the room, although they don't smoke in the rooms, I don't know from where, perhaps from neighboring rooms, or through ventilation (the windows were closed).

If the Internet is important, you can ask to settle in a room with a good signal, they will go to a meeting (if possible). However, this will not help much, because there is a disaster with the Internet in Almaty (both with stationary and mobile). For long-term check-in (month) there are strong discounts.
