Taksim is like a breath of fresh air in the narrow streets of Istanbul. Walking along Istiklal (the main walking street of Istanbul, along which an old tram runs), you go out to the square from which you can go down to the subway and go to the transfer point or exit, up to the new Istanbul airport. На площади Таксим расположена новая мечеть. Очень красивая. Особенно эффектно она смотрится вечером в подсветке. На территории есть кафе, где можно выпить кофе с турецкими сладостями и посмотреть на гуляющих)
Рядом небольшой парк с фонтаном. Одноименная станция метро. В центре расположен монумент « Республика», посвященный пятилетию образованию Турецкой Республики в 1923 году.
На площади уличные торговцы предлагают кукурузу и жареные каштаны, сувениры, живые цветы.
В целом площадь оживленная и днем и ночью.

A beautiful square. I was there during the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Republic, the square was beautifully decorated, there was a pavilion with a demonstration of films about history. I really liked it!
Buses from the airport come here (about 5 euros one way), they run often. And from this square, it's great to walk along the El Halal shopping street (I may be mistaken in the name) to the Galata Tower and the strait. You will come out just to the bridge, which is interesting in itself - the restaurant area, and leads to the other shore, where St. Sophia, etc.

Один разок посетить можно, сьесть кебаб, прогуляться по улочкам, прокатиться на трамвайчике ну и пошопиться конечно, огромное количество магазинов, очень понравилось кафе , почти сразу слева находится, атмосфера и еда супер, рекомендую.

Площадь известна, прежде всего, монументом Республики — памятником основателям новой турецкой республики во главе с Мустафой Кемалем Ататюрком. В числе запечатленных в камне лиц есть и Советские военные и советские государственные деятели Климент Ефремович Ворошилов и Семён Иванович Аралов.
Также на площади находится большая новая мечать, а еще отсюда начинается знаменитая туристическая и торговая улица Истикляль. Проехаться по ней можно на старинном трамвайчике.
Добраться до площади можно так: на трамвае Т1 до конечной станции Кабаташ, оттуда на фуникулере до Таксима.

Вблизи Таксим много хороших отелей, по улицам много ресторанчиков, кафе. Вкусная еда. От площади знаменитая улица Искаляль, на которой кипит жизнь. В 100 метрах от площади конечная остановка автобусов для сообщения с аэропортами.

Отсюда начинается знаменитая пешеходная улица Истикляль По ней ездит трамвайчик ретро! Рядом станция метро одна остановка и вы на набережной каботаж. Возможны морские прогулки, а также поездки на трамвае Т1 в Восточную часть Стамбула!

Очень оживленный переулок. Много туристов. Магазины много но дороговато. Еда уличная терпимо. Шоу мороженого много. Магазины разные. Обмен валюты очень хороший.

Для любителей шума, когда жизнь кипит прямо вокруг вас! Для тех, кто хочет почувствовать вкус Стамбула!
Вот и мечеть, вот и трамвайчик, а вот и жаренная кукуруза!
Отсюда ходит трамвай по улице Истикляль, неподалеку обменники (Doviz), а также удобная точка для вызова такси.
В шаговой доступности местные кафе и закусочные, можно на площади поесть кукурузу и жареные каштаны!

Площадь, центральная часть Стамбула. Очень красиво, магазины, гостиницы, место массовых гуляний. В какую сторону не пойти, везде интересно и есть , что посмотреть. Рекомендую.
