Tokyo’s red icon offering 360° city views. Surrounding parks make for a relaxing visit. 🚇 Take the Oedo Line to Akabanebashi Station or walk 10 minutes from Onarimon.

A bright, elegant object in the city center. Painted in red, the tower looks beautiful both day and night. From the observation deck there is a good overview of the center of Tokyo, beautiful objects are visible on the periphery of the city. In clear weather, you can also see the local beauty of Mount Fujiyama.

Tokyo TV Tower: more than just a view of the city! I'll tell you a few more unusual facts. • The Tokyo TV Tower was clearly inspired by the Eiffel Tower in Paris, but less steel was used in its construction (about 4,000 tons compared to 7,300 tons for the Eiffel Tower). This made it lighter, but no less durable. • The TV tower is painted in international orange and white colors in accordance with flight safety requirements. However, every year on Environment Day, it is repainted green to emphasize environmental awareness. • There is a legend about a secret room hidden in the upper part of the tower, which only employees of TV companies have access to. There is no confirmation of this fact, but rumors are fueling interest in the TV tower. • There is a very similar TV tower in Tokyo - Tokyo Skytree. It is taller and more modern, but the Tokyo TV Tower is still loved by many as a symbol of old Tokyo. Tokyo TV Tower is a favorite place for dating, especially for young people. There is a belief that couples who kiss at the top of the tower will be together forever. We kissed the Champion there, hooray! • The metal used in the construction was obtained from recycled American tanks captured during the Korean War. • During the energy crisis in Japan following the 2011 earthquake, the Tokyo TV Tower temporarily served as the main telecommunications tower while Tokyo Skytree underwent a security check. These facts show that the Tokyo TV Tower is not just an engineering structure, but also an important part of Tokyo's history and culture. And one of the most popular sports is postcards.
