A landmark place in Chisinau
The Victory Arch is a triumphal arch.
It was built in 1846 under the direction of architect I. Zaushkevich to accommodate a bell weighing 6.4 tons, cast from captured Turkish cannons. The arch was erected in honor of the victory in the Russian-Turkish War (1828-1829). It was restored in 1973.

Architectural structure "Victory Arch"
It is a 13-meter square-shaped structure divided into two levels. The lower level is through with four pylons on pedestals with Corinthian columns, a developed frieze. The upper tier is attic, finished with a cornice and treated with blades, the clock is placed on this level from the side of the square.
