St. Michael's Church, Shatura village,Nezhinsky district, Chernihiv region, consecrated in 1885.It was closed in the 60s of the 20th century.In 1988, the church was returned to the Russian Orthodox Church, with the assistance of twice Hero of the Soviet Union, Major General Alexei Fedorovich Fedorov, who during the Great Patriotic War was the commander of the Chernihiv-Volyn partisan unit operating in Ukraine, Belarus and in the Bryansk forests of Russia.He died on September 9, 1989. He was buried at the Baykov cemetery in Kiev.The first rector, under whom the temple regained its former beauty and grandeur, from 1989 to 1991, was Priest Peter Iosifovich Navozenko.
