Yaka Balık Restaurant, located on Galata Bridge, was visited for dinner. Overall, I liked it. Service, kitchen, drinks - no complaints. The prices are too high, of course. Probably because of the excellent view of the Bosphorus...

We visited this restaurant on 04/26/2025, and from a number of restaurants under the Galatsky Bridge, we chose this one because of the large seating area and the active barker. That was the main mistake. After you sit down, the staff is not particularly interested in you. The order was carried for a very long time, the child forgot to cook the dish at all, after waiting for half an hour, reminding us three times, they offered the child a plate of overcooked French fries because they forgot about it, there were no apologies, compliments, or discounts from the restaurant. The staff is inattentive, does not remember anything, you need to call for 5 minutes and run after the waiters. It could all be dominated by good cuisine, but it's not here either. There were 4 of us, 4 different types of fish were ordered, all the fish were over-grilled or fried in old oil, the unpleasant taste could not be interrupted. With an above-average price tag, 0 service, no kitchen? You will get nothing but a beautiful view. I highly recommend not to visit. Don't get caught on a big landing, most fans leave half of the dish on their plate.

A very beautiful place and the most tasteless food in the city!!!
Unfortunately, the more touristic the place, the worse the food. Shrimp salad: arugula, red cabbage, a little tomato, 0 of any dressing and a masterpiece of cotton cocktail shrimp. The price is 580 liras. It is important for the staff to sell something expensive - therefore, turbot flounder is sold with terrible force, which will cost 7 thousand lire, because it is sold by weight.

We were invited to this restaurant the most actively. They promised a discount and free drinks (but it turned out to be a hoax))
So also, in my opinion, water was added to the receipt, which we did not order.
But we ate quite tasty, so we decided not to look into it, but just paid the bill and left.
We ordered soup and grilled fish.
The fish was good, and the soup tasteless (pulls 3 out of 5).
Bread was brought as a compliment. The restaurant offers a very beautiful view of the bay and the city, the interior and table setting are cute 🥰

They are very actively touting, but they cheat at the entrance: the price in the price list at the entrance is several dozen liras lower than the main menu. Bread and water are brought without an order, but they include very expensive alcohol in the bill.

To experience the beauty of the Galata Bridge, you need to walk along it. Not only on the outside, but also inside. There are restaurants there. Get ready. You will be invited to each one, show seafood laid out in ice, give menus in your hands, etc. The advantage of this place is a beautiful view of the Bosphorus. The food is expensive, but not more expensive than the restaurants in the central historical sites of Istanbul. In this restaurant, we were served grilled sea bass with fresh vegetables and arugula. Fresh grilled fish is difficult to spoil, if only burned. Therefore, we ate well, admired the seascape, the fishing line of fishermen who fish from above on the bridge, and drank tea with baklava.

Well, it's normal. There are plenty of such establishments in Istanbul, and on/near the bridge, it wins by location and loses by prices. The food quality is the same as in a dozen other fish restaurants.
