It's unclear what's going on with the visa department. Some kind of horror with the recording, with the deadlines. It used to be better. A regular guest visa, an excellent history, an official invitation with responsibility, a specified place of residence, there were previously visas issued at the same consulate - they have been considering for > 2 months. No information whatsoever. Considering "up to 45 days or more" is an abnormal response. If you don't set boundaries and responsibilities, no one will do their job adequately.
