But there is something to work on: there are very few ATMs in the old city, there is nowhere to change currency, if there are any, the exchange rate is very unprofitable, normal walking roads are not organized along the city wall from the outside and inside, if there are paths from outside somewhere, then they are completely absent from inside the wall. It's worth walking around the old town a little, because all the shoes are covered in dust. At night, the old town is illuminated only where there are architectural monuments. The rest of the inner roads are not illuminated at all. The roads inside along the wall are not illuminated at all. And there are very few shops where you can buy essential goods. If there are shops, then there are very few goods in them and the goods are of poor quality. We need to work on these. In general, I advise you to visit the beautiful city.

Very beautiful. A single ticket to the territory has now been introduced for foreigners. There are two versions: 100,000 standard (allows you to visit most of the museums on the territory, but not all), and for 150,000 soums - VIP, allows you to climb two minarets. But tickets are checked only at the entrance through the gate. If you go further along the wall, you can safely enter the territory: the wall is not solid, there are gaps. And museums are about nothing. They are not worth attention. The beauty is all in the historical architecture.

I came from Uzbekistan only recently. Khiva is settling in. Unremarkable buildings are being demolished and small hotels are being built, which do not spoil the surrounding architecture of the monument at all. I lived in a hotel like this. They repair roads and take care of monuments. I climbed the largest minaret.....it was a feat on my part! But it was worth it... ..There are plenty of souvenirs...beautiful shawls, scarves, caftans and robes sewn from national fabrics....it is very bright and festive. A wonderful guide in pure Russian told and drove around the city. Like it.
