Uppsala Central Railway Station. It is a complex of several neighboring buildings. The elegant old station building (in the style of the "Dutch Renaissance") worked for its intended purpose in 1866-2011. It now houses several restaurants. In front of the building there is a sculpture by Brur Yurt "Polka neka" ("nek" is a Swedish merman who lures people by playing the violin to engage them in dancing and drag them into the water). Nearby is a modern two-storey station building. There are many ticket terminals in and around the building (a bank or transport card is required). If there is no card, you will have to stand in line at the ticket office, which can take a long time. A little further away is the Uppsala Vostochnaya station of the Museum Railway. There are parking lots for intercity buses on both sides of the railway. In front of the new building are two abstract sculptures by the English sculptor Tony Cragg. On the other side of the station square is a small Gunnar Leche Park with fountains. Since housing in Stockholm is much more expensive than in Uppsala, many people who work in Stockholm spend the night in Uppsala and commute to work by train. They come to the train station on bicycles, so there is a large bicycle parking lot on the station square, which is filled even in winter.
