With a medical center there is always a story to explain the visit, and because of the excellent care received at AMC I can now look back and laugh at this one in the future... My youngest daughter stuck a pen up her nose and the tip became lodged. We were able to easily make an appointment at AMC to see an ENT doctor that evening (there was no rush since she could breathe through the hole in the pen tip, otherwise it would have been an immediate ER trip). Getting into the building is the toughest part, since the office is in the Renco building and across from Ailand and the St. Regis; possibly one of the worst traffic areas in Astana. Once at the building you will need to park in an outer parking lot as it is a gated facility (there are embassies in the same building so you can't just drive up). After parking you go through the security building on the north end, then afterwards you walk into the center entrance of the building's courtyard and then to the 14th floor. When we walked in we were greeted by no less than 5 staff, who immediately asked if we wanted anything to drink or how we could be made more comfortable. My older daughter asked for hot cocoa (despite my side eye showing it was an inappropriate ask and doubt they'd have something like that on hand
