One of the most beautiful places in the city. There are famous singing fountains, a historical museum, an art gallery, a museum of literature and art. The Northern Avenue connects diagonally the two main squares of the city — Freedom Square and Republic Square. There you can see a lot of elite residential buildings, trendy shops, cafes and restaurants. There is also a beautiful shopping gallery in the underground space under the pavement. And at the beginning of the avenue, right in front of the Black Star Burger ( if you go from Republic Square), the most delicious and photogenic cotton candy is sold.

Stylish tuff buildings make up the architectural ensemble of Republic Square. There is also a museum of the history of Armenia and an art gallery (also well worth the space).
And the undoubted pearl of the square is the singing fountains - one of the most beautiful that I have seen (and I have seen both in Dubai and in Winperle - there is something to compare it with) - a variety of music - both classical, popular, and folk - and performances go on in a row (and not once an hour as in Dubai) - you can enjoy the performance for half an hour for sure.
I definitely recommend visiting - especially in the evening, when singing fountains are launched.

The square is clean, there are shops around a lot of cafes. In the evenings, the fountain turns into a musical one. By the way, all buildings are made of tuff and according to the drawings of Tamonyan, the general architect of Yerevan. (I do not pretend to be historical, this is all from the tour) now there are a lot of trucks and cars selling tours and excursions on the square about them.
