L'entracte Opera restaurant is an ideal "theater buffet". During the break of the performance, of course, you will not sit with a full dinner, although it is quite possible to have a cup of espresso in the cafe on the ground floor during the theatrical intermission. But still, it is better to have enough time in stock to go up to the second floor, slowly not only pay tribute to the chef's skill, but also enjoy the views from the windows, examining in detail the luxurious Opera Garnier building. Judging by the fact that the waiters are trying to talk to the guests in Russian, carefully pronouncing "good afternoon, thank you, frog legs, goodbye", this place is popular among Russian tourists. The menu includes French classics: salads, onion soup, tartare, escalope, entrecote, escargot (snails), those notorious frog legs. Couvert was pleased not only with the traditional French baguette, but also with olives in olive oil with herbs. Frog legs turned out to be quite fleshy, contrary to popular belief, not similar to chicken meat, but still quite specific and unusual in taste. The beef steak was somewhat disappointing: the medium-rare meat was tight and peppered, and the sauce was too sharp (there was just something to compare it with: the day before at the restaurant on Saint Georges Square, we tasted the softest and juiciest entrecotes with cheese sauce). Pink Provencal wine is light, with a pleasant aftertaste. Espresso was also on top. The average lunch receipt during our visit was 35€ per person. If you do not limit yourself to one glass of wine and a bottle of Evian water, you can mentally (but without chic in the form of champagne at 80 € per bottle) and sit for 100 € together... In general, L'entracte Opera is a pleasant institution in all respects: in terms of location, design and content.
