A solid royal building, against which the whole country contrasts.
It is very conveniently located next to the train station. An excursion with a visit to even the roof costs 40k. This is quite justified, especially considering that the guide-administrator will tell you a lot of interesting things about the building and those distant times.
I strongly advise you, if you arrive at the train station, to go even with your luggage (you can leave it on the 1st floor).

Said Abd al-Ahad Khan, aka the Emir of Bukhara, was closely associated with Russia. He built this palace for the arrival of Nicholas II, with whom he was rumored to be friends. He didn't come, but he kind of sent a delegation. The emir himself was a progressive, though the last ruler of his dynasty, abolished slavery, and many death clauses of that time. He loved Russia, even bought land and built a castle in Crimea. 👍
The building is currently undergoing restoration.

The guide showed the architectural details, told the sad story of the palace.
When they approached, a lady who appeared from nowhere announced the price, opened the rooms available for inspection. At the same time, tickets there, apparently, are not provided at all. To whom the money was given is a mystery!)))
While we were watching, the guide came up, told everything wonderfully without any money and escorted us to the train. Amazing!

Initially, the palace was beautiful. Now it is in an unsatisfactory condition. A local employee for 15,000 soums per person volunteered to show us the attraction. I walked around the first floor. And apparently it became lazy to go to the second one. She said they wouldn't let her in there. When leaving the gate, I turned around and saw how the next group went up to the second floor. You can go there too.

A wonderful place, one of the most beautiful buildings in the Bukhara region. You definitely need to see it. I hope it will be restored in the near future, while the small hall leaves the strongest impressions (you need to ask the locals to open it, it is locked). The influence of European architecture is noticeable, while inside there is an oriental flavor.
