Here is my honest review of the Zeferan Restaurant in Istanbul (yes, I had to take my mind off other things for this). What you liked The restaurant is located on the top floor of the AJWA Sultanahmet Hotel in Sultanahmet district, offering panoramic views of the old town and the Sea of Marmara. The cuisine is focused on Azerbaijani tastes with elements of Turkish and general regional gastronomy: meat, rice, herbs, spices — that makes me happy. The service gets good reviews: attentive staff, creating the feeling that your visit is an event, and not just "another tourist." Atmosphere: the interior and the view are the kind that you can pay a little extra for (if you're in the mood for a "special evening"). Things to consider Prices are above average. The menu shows that you will have to pay seriously for some items. If the budget is limited, this is a fact. If you are looking for "just eat fast and cheap", then this is not about Zeferan. It's about experience. Some reviews mention that although the view and service are excellent, the general feeling of "the higher the price, the higher the expectation" is not always fully justified. The menu is very meat/heavy oriented. If you want a light vegetarian option, there is a choice, but not an impressive one. My recommendations It is better to book a table in advance (due to the location and view). Come for dinner or sunset — the view and atmosphere will be stronger. Order a couple of Azerbaijani specialties (for example, from the menu: rice with meat, special kebabs) + a couple of drinks — it will give the feeling of "I was here and it was worth it." If you want something more budget-friendly or a quick translation of "ate and left", you can choose another option.

The restaurant, like the hotel, is simply on top. Perfect service. The chef comes out to the guests and sometimes even makes free compliments from himself. Such as Napoleon's personally made cake or tea according to his recipe. I highly recommend going there. The view there is simply divine)

Beautiful view of the Bosphorus from the window, quiet (there is no musical accompaniment at all) Unreasonably expensive, 2 hot dishes and a salad without drinks cost 8000 rubles. It tastes good, but nothing special, about the same as in local restaurants. The restaurant is non-alcoholic. I won't go any more, and I'd rather not recommend it than recommend it.
