It's a nice hotel, though a bit shabby. There is a swimming pool and sauna, and a bowling alley. Everything is free for guests, but at certain hours. At the bowling alley, the receptionist is not a very polite guy. The breakfasts are excellent, the lunches are back and forth, the dinners are not very good at all. Moreover, the products are good, but the chefs don't try at all. The sea is nearby, but there are many "streams" flowing into it that smell of sewage. In summary: if you come just to lie in the sun or take a walk in the fresh air, and then rush to the Ritsa, New Athos or somewhere else, then you are here. Special thanks to Zakan for the tour in the red jeep. He definitely has five stars!

We were at Alex for the 2nd time this year. We are sure that we will go to the 3rd. The price/quality ratio is fully satisfied.The rooms have been renovated, their equipment completely matches the information stated on the website. The girls are cleaned daily, the food for Abkhazia is more than acceptable (a little monotonous, but everything is edible), you can go through a small set of medical procedures of a healing direction. I would like to note that in case of illness, the medical staff comes to the rescue immediately.
The beach is clean, there are enough sun loungers.
We were also pleasantly surprised by the private transfer of the hotel!
In general, we were satisfied with our vacation.
We recommend "Alex" to those who travel to Abkhazia for a relaxing holiday without partying

Not 4 stars! Not 5 stars!
BUT!!!!!
The hotel is very clean, a huge plus for 2 pools!
The air conditioners worked perfectly!
The road to the beach is 3 minutes! The shore is not sandy, it was hard to enter the sea!
The food was included and it was the most varied dishes from dietary to fatty fried!
There are spa treatments, it's a pity there was no advertising in the elevator and the staff did not tell you in detail about the treatment,
Wi-Fi is a deception with the Internet, the signal does not catch in the room!
Another disadvantage was that there was no shampoo, brush, etc. We are used to this set being the norm in 3-star hotels!

A good hotel with claims to 4 stars.We were well met, the room was given immediately around 11 o'clock, We have a standard, 2nd floor in the second building.Everything you need to eat in the room, linen and towels were changed every three days, and they were cleaned normally.The restaurant is nearby, the food is more or less good, much better than last year in Golden Sands in Pitsunda.But, this is a damn thing: there is a sign in the room that you can not smoke, where you can have an ashtray, I go to the balcony- there is an ashtray.And now the picture: you go to the balcony with a cup of coffee, cigarettes and a crossword puzzle under your arm and see that the ashtray is on the floor and there is nothing else.I took the tool from the room, and instead of a bedside table, I took a bedside table.The next day, I asked the maid girls for something like an extra chair, they said they didn't have one, went to the reception and they explained to us that chairs and a table were only allowed in the suites.That's it with 4 stars.I've been wearing a bedside table for nine days.Well, I already wrote about mattresses on the beach last time.And one more thing: Erickson TV is fine, there are a lot of channels (we recorded a lot of movies on a USB stick, but it shows very well, but without sound, the masters did not wait, so we just watched TV, but it's still a shame)I'll tell you about the road later, it's not about the hotel

A wonderful hotel for a holiday by yourself, family or company. The hotel has all the necessary procedures for wellness: massage, baths, consultations of specialized medical staff. Daily cleaning service. The room has new furniture and a TV. Very convenient location on the first line. There are pools. We recommend this hotel for a holiday.

4 stars, because there is not an unambiguous impression of the hotel.
Positive:
- By the sea
- Everything is new, clean
- The person is friendly
- Cleaning every day
- A compliment, in the form of a bottle of wine
Minuses:
-2 heated pools and an indoor one are announced. The heated water is +25 (it's cold for winter), indoor is not a big font near the sauna.
- Pay for everything only in cash at the hotel.
- A very poor breakfast, there were no fresh vegetables at all. But in general they found something to eat.
Let me explain, we were with the children in March. The main request when choosing a hotel was a warm pool. As a result, we did not swim, it was very cold in the water.

The Alex resort hotel is super! Three meals a day (dry red wine was served at lunch), spa treatments: sauna with swimming pool, pearl bath, salt room for children, consultation with a therapist and cosmetologist (the first procedure is free!) Bowling is free every day! The hotel is on the first line. The sea is gorgeous...and the mountains are even better...they are fascinating....

The first time in this hotel! I must say right away that it is unpretentious for rest - there are walls and a roof, what else is needed? The food was good, the sea was clean, there were vineyards and small pebbles nearby. Convenient location - and the old Gagra is nearby and the Ferris wheel is also nearby! I hope the hotel will keep all its charms for many years to come! I recommend it to everyone! Right by the sea!

We were in the second half of May, this year. The rooms are clean, cleaning is done daily. The staff is friendly enough. There are 3 pools-2 on site, and one in the spa (you can swim in it after a free sauna) . We didn't go into the sea, it was still cold, although people were swimming. There is a place for walking and a lot of shops and a bench.

The hotel is decent! Clean, cozy, friendly! The food is excellent, the buffet is well thought out, children's and diet meals are well thought out. The territory is well maintained, there is a swimming pool, its own beach. This is the second time we are staying at this hotel. Everything is fine except the food. That year, June 2023, they took only breakfast, poor but tolerable. This year, it was impossible to take a trip, only with breakfast. It's something terrible, not tasty, not edible. We skip lunch, we go to a cafe for dinner. If you don't want to pay for food twice, choose another hotel.

The rooms are cozy and clean. Special thanks to the maids Anna Avidzba and Oksana Podkopaeva for their professionalism and hard work.
Food: the assortment is varied, but the taste of the dishes is monotonous. There is not enough alcohol: only wine and only at lunch. The sea is nearby, clean.

Excellent accommodation on the very beach, very nice, polite staff, three good pools, a chic hammam, a pumped-up sauna and the furniture in the rooms is already tired, there are no basic hygiene supplies - shampoo, shower gel, toothpaste and toothbrush. Otherwise, the Gagra in Alex Resort's face was pleasantly surprised.

The rooms are great, cleaning, changing towels every day, polite staff, but here's the food.... To say that it is not tasty is to say nothing... Monotonous, bland, leftovers from lunch go to dinner, buckwheat soup is generally one of the soups!!! But this is not the main problem of this hotel ...
Rotovirus (and in fact poisoning in the dining room) awaits all vacationers... We suffered for 5 days. There is a doctor, but it is useless to contact her - the diploma has been purchased..
