We fell in love with Abkhazia! The hotel, swimming pool, park with roses, gazebos, tennis courts, billiards, everything is just fine! The gym is state-of-the-art, just great! The medic is on duty around the clock, rejuvenation ivs are welcome! Doctor's consultation on water procedures and ivs. What a staff, what people!
Four-star restaurant - everything is delicious! Pickles are just chic!Champagne, wine, flowed freely because it was New Year's Eve! We received gifts in each room, which is nice! Unfortunately, we haven't tried the beach, but we will come again!

The hotel looks quite decent at first glance. Well-groomed territory, clean rooms, a gorgeous beach, delicious food. However, the impression was overshadowed by some moments:
1. In a shared restaurant, cockroaches run freely around dishes and coffee machines. It feels like there are more of them every day. Accordingly, there was no such appetite anymore
2. There are a lot of cigarette butts on the stairs to the beach. It wouldn't hurt to clean them up and put at least a couple of trash cans next to them. I also almost ran into the glass very close to the water. I understand that it is extremely difficult for the staff to keep track of this, but the impression is overshadowed
3. Only 2 bottles of water per day are given out. I had to go to the coolers in the dining room more often than I would like. The first 2 days were especially hard
As a result, the hotel itself is extremely well located. Right opposite there is a market where you can buy everything you need, and the sea is of extraordinary beauty

We had a rest from 04.26.25. to 05.01.25. Overall, we liked the hotel. Near the sea, the embankment, and a beautiful park on a small territory. The water in the pool was 29 degrees, although it smelled strongly of bleach. There is enough food, even with a claim to variety.. There was champagne for breakfast at the weekend, wine for lunch. It slightly spoiled the impression that the food was cold even at the opening, in particular the fried eggs: 3 days warm, 2 days cold. I also had a negative impression of the reception: upon arrival, we were accommodated in a studio room of 12 sq. m., although we booked a room of 18 sq. m.(3 adults with extra place). When they realized in the evening that the room was too cramped (3 beds are hardly enough and there is a narrow space to go to the balcony), they turned to the receptionist Kristina with this question. The girl brazenly stated that the room we had booked was occupied, but we were complimented and put in a room with a balcony and a view of the sea. I had to contact the administration through my agent, who the next day offered us to see the room we had originally booked. We arrived for 5 days, all the things were already laid out, 2 of the 5 days had almost passed, so we didn't see any problems with the move. That is, justice prevailed, but the residue from the impudent girl Kristina remained.. A few words about the add. location: after the first night, your back ached wildly, because you are lying on an absolutely hard, spring-free surface. They asked for an extra mattress, but it didn't help, and the situation didn't improve in any way. Then the mattress was removed from the main bed and placed on a cot-in this case, sleeping is quite acceptable. The closet in the room is quite strange:there is a place for hangers of 20 centimeters. We had almost all our clothes hanging on the dryer. Overall, I enjoyed my stay.:Hospitable Abkhazians and gorgeous nature cover all the disadvantages.

We stayed at this hotel from April 18 to May 2, 2025. The hotel is excellent, beautiful, and still fairly newly renovated and with fresh plumbing. The food is great. Cleaning every day, the bed was changed after two days. I was a little stressed by the too soft mattress, and then I even liked it. The staff is polite and conscientious. But there is a question about free hydrogen-grey baths. Anyone who has taken such baths in Matsesta will understand the difference. What we were offered in Gagra is not hydrogen sulfide, but simple water with a tiny addition of hydrogen sulfide. There is almost no smell, and consequently the result is zero. It's a shame that they cheated again. But there are many other paid procedures in this hospital. I took mud applications, so they helped. If you're going to this hotel just for these bathrooms, then you'd better choose another place.

We were at the end of November, I liked the hotel, it's very good even for Abkhazia! The views from the upper floors are really gorgeous, we lived in the left wing on the 2nd floor and still had a good view of the sea, sat on the balcony and enjoyed the sound of the waves, so I did not understand the review where the man writes that the sea is visible only on the last floors😁😅🤷♀️- the hotel stands on the shore!!!
Atmosphere the hotel is nice and pleasant, the staff is friendly, the interior really pleased me 👌
Everything is in the room, even if you forgot something, there is a phone number on the wall of the bathroom, they will bring you a brush with paste and a sewing kit! Bathrobes, slippers, 2 bottles of water per day are replenished by the maids every day! There are several maids , I did not like one , she is very lazy and can still set her own conditions for you, I was very surprised!
Food is what it's worth coming back here for!!! We liked everything, it was delicious, just like at home. The restaurant is nice and cozy, well, unfortunately, we also saw cockroaches... probably by autumn there were fewer people and they came running, I don't know. But otherwise everything is fine, so this fact did not overshadow our rest much, the main thing is that they did not come to the rooms 😅🫣
The territory deserves attention!!! Greenery,gazebos, swings - the beauty is simple, we walked with pleasure❤

But, there are disadvantages because of which the hotel is not suitable for me to stay for more than 3 days. We lived in a room with three people, all adults, the room is suitable for two people at most. A very small wardrobe, exactly the part that is for the upper one. I was struck by the deterioration of the towels, they are already translucent and the bathrobes (the bathrobes are all the same size, maximum 48) The paint peeled off the balcony, you can also paint. And sound insulation is something-everything that was not whispered in the next room, we heard as in our own. Tired from the tour at about 9 p.m., we "watched " cartoons with the neighbor's child until 11 p.m. There is no door handle on the balcony, it simply does not close from the balcony, which also creates certain inconveniences.And the biggest and fattest disadvantage is sagging beds, you fall into a hammock. I would like to focus on this in particular for people who have back problems. I definitely wouldn't be able to sleep on them for 7-10 days. A cot is just a piece of wood. Breakfast is out of season, and the choice is scanty, but never mind. But here's how to ruin pancakes and pancakes like that!!! Antirespectus to the cook. Pancakes with cottage cheese, there is no cottage cheese in them, but half a teaspoon of the terrible cottage cheese product, cucumbers and tomatoes are sliced, the omelet is very scary in appearance, but at least edible. We were with my family for the May holidays. We took 2 rooms (my husband and I, and our son and my mom). We are all quite sophisticated travelers and usually stay in hotels no lower than 4*. I liked the hotel. Everything is clean and sound, the furniture is new, the staff is friendly, problems are solved quickly. The restaurant's food is delicious and varied. Champagne was served for breakfast in the morning and wine for lunch. The waitress girls in the restaurant are very nice and sociable. The pool is a good size, heated up to 28 degrees. There were enough places for everyone in the restaurant and by the pool, even though the hotel was full. It is very convenient that the hotel has a large territory and it is on the 1st line. Plenty of parking space. In the neighboring hotel, for example, the territory is small and cars were literally everywhere, even right next to the pool. The location of the hotel in Gagra itself is very good. There is a mall and a market nearby, and an amusement park nearby. I also really liked that everyone who stays at the hotel can take daily hydrogen sulfide baths for free. There is a convenient transfer service from the hotel to the hospital. In general, the impressions from the hotel are very favorable. The price in May was also good. I would like to have a rest there in the summer, if the price is reasonable.

Amza is a great place to relax!! We rested for a week - everything went well!
The staff is friendly. Room cleaning is regular and of high quality. The plumbing is new. They provided an extra bed, a pot for children, a washstand. The cuisine is delicious and varied. From 12-17, the Internet speed + is good. But when evening comes and all the grandmothers come in to talk or send photos to their "girlfriends", the speed drops to 0. Yes, anyone who is traveling and who is allergic to tobacco or does not like tobacco smoke at all, then you will be upset. I had to endure the first 3 days, I went to the reception desk, said that smoking was in the neighboring rooms, although it was forbidden by the hotel rules. It's a great place. We had a rest in the period from 29.04 to 05.05.24. The hotel exceeded all expectations. 1st coastline (pebble beach). There is a large heated swimming pool on site (sun beds and umbrellas are available). There are a lot of plants on the territory, just walking, you are already resting. There is a large swing where you can sit together in the evening, enjoying life. There is also a sports ground (equipment is provided at the reception). The building is in excellent condition. We lived on the 11th floor in a room with a sea view (just an indescribable feeling (waking up and falling asleep to the sound of waves)). The staff is kind, helpful, everything is fine in this regard. The food is at the highest level (we had a buffet; for lovers of Abkhazian wine, 2 types of homemade wine fall for dinner). You can also buy excursions at the hotel (they are taken directly from the hotel and brought to it), the prices are minimal. There is a market near the hotel. The hotel also provides each "resident" of the Hotel with 1 hydrogen sulfide bath per day as a gift. In general, come, get high without thinking about anything, you will not regret it

The hotel is great for off-season - warm (battery in the room), nice rooms, soft beds, sound insulation - if you're lucky with the neighbors))) plumbing, a territory with blooming mimosa! They take you to the warm Basik of Amra, even if you don't need a Basik, I advise you to take a ride and walk around the territory, climb to the 5th floor of the viewing platform - it's worth it! The swimming pool does not heat up (Although it is a good paid bar. Transfer to the hydrotherapy center (1 hydrogen sulfide bath is free every day, you can replace it with eucalyptus) - the rest is for a fee. The hydrotherapy is very good, it is within walking distance, 10 minutes walk. There is a market and shops near the hotel, it is important for off-season, Gagra is empty! The staff is absolutely adequate and friendly.
Now about the cons. The food is of high quality, but its assortment and quantity are very sad (the dishes are very often cold, before going to breakfast there were no eggs at all at 9-10, only cold sausages with sausages from the hot. A fried egg is also a rarity, I was happy once, in vain, it was cold, are we frying it in the evening? ....there are no greens at all, sometimes there was a sluggish torn iceberg, but Korean pickles for all three meals. There's a complete problem with vegetables (a couple of times there was a fresh cucumber that was obviously frozen, and then it was cut... Peas and corn are always available. Fish, small trout are cut like herring and fried, at first I didn't understand what kind of fish it was, when I read it, I was surprised! There are NO pastries for breakfast at all, except for a la pecheninka... I'll tell you right away, you won't be hungry, but there's no pleasure either. Canteen with a "twist") The highlight is champagne for breakfast on weekends!
I must say right away, if you do not plan to stay at the hotel all the time during the off-season and you will have an additional dozhor, zyrring, then the hotel as a cozy mink is not bad! You just need to understand its disadvantages. The Internet worked both on the premises and in the room. My rest passed quickly. Despite my disadvantages, thank you to the hotel! In the attachment, an advertisement from the hotel itself (there are pitfalls everywhere), where it is described that the pool temperature is +27 all year round (this means that the pool is not heated). If you want to go to the pool in cool weather, go to the neighboring hotel and swim there, as well as the spa (there are pitfalls in the hotel's advertisement, be careful!). The phone in the room was not working, dishes were not provided in the room, and it was not possible to order food in the room. The Wi-Fi was intermittent or not working at all. The walls are cardboard (like in a cheap hostel), all the neighbors can be heard.
We won't be coming to this hotel anymore, we didn't like it!

We stayed at this hotel in early November.
Among the advantages: not far from the sea, a heated swimming pool, polite staff, you can book excursions directly at the hotel. The room had a balcony and a gorgeous view of the sea. Buffet-style meals - breakfast, lunch and dinner. The usual homemade food.
Of the minuses: cleaning the room, and the biggest MINUS is the cockroaches in the restaurant, who walk on the apparatus from which you pour water and juices, and on the tables where the food is located. The appetite disappears instantly and there is simply no desire to return there for lunch. The restaurant staff does not react to comments about red insects in any way, they pretend that they do not hear.
I would definitely not go to this hotel again (because of the cockroaches infesting the restaurant).

We have been coming to this beautiful hotel for 3 years now. Nice, clean rooms with magnificent views of both the sea and the mountain. A gorgeous, well-maintained area with a beautiful arboretum. Of the advantages, I will also note my own well-equipped beach (sun beds, umbrellas). The rest, as always, was a success! The only thing that seemed to be a little less varied was the food... And they stopped giving wine for dinner:/

I sent my parents on vacation from 14.09 to 20.09. They liked everything very much: the food was delicious and varied, champagne was served for breakfast, and different types of wine for lunch. The territory is clean and well maintained, there are recreation areas, a swimming pool, a private beach with sun loungers, beach towels in the room. The room is clean and cozy, the renovation is pleasant. The service is simply at its best: daily cleaning, all consumables were replenished daily. Special thanks to the administrator of VICTORIA, she is just a magician: she wanted to arrange a surprise for her parents, wrote to the hotel's mail, Victoria contacted me and gave me her number to clarify the details. As a result, with her help, they organized a greeting to mom and dad in the room with a postcard and dinner in a panoramic restaurant, paying their bill remotely. My parents are thrilled. I highly recommend the hotel. (A small minus: unfortunately, after a long journey, the parents were not immediately provided with a room, but we understand that these are hotel rules, there are check-in hours; and there is one elevator, but this is not enough for a 16-storey building, daily queues)

One of the disadvantages is weak Internet (Wi-Fi), but it is covered by excellent 4G+ from local operators. In general, a good place for a comfortable stay with a sane infrastructure!

We had a rest with two families, took payment for one of the rooms twice, I paid with a card for two rooms and as it turned out later, the second couple also paid, but in cash (and this is 13500 rubles), refused to return the money, two days of calls and proceedings did not yield results, allegedly there was no cash arrival in the accounting department, they said that by appointment there is no fact of cash transfer from the surveillance camera, later they began to say that there is no record at all, since the data is stored only for 7 days. An unpleasant situation that discouraged the desire for further visits to me and my loved ones.

Cons : the food is not very good, but you can live, mosquitoes, during rush hours (lunch, dinner ), the elevator waits a very long time, and most importantly, adaptation for two days , panos , nausea, revolution in the stomach, guts, many did not get out of bed, many call it infection , rotovirus, etc. I call it odoptation for the second year we rest in Abkhazia and for the second year give it two days then everything is normal!
The first time we came in July 23 for 7 days minus 2 days and that 5 days of rest were at another hotel
For the second time this year, for 14 days in August, from 3.08 to 17.08, we came and also minus two days for rehabilitation and that y2 days of luxury vacation in AMZA
The hotel has its own doctor , a medical center , they say that when odoptation begins , you can do an IV for 800 rubles and everything is removed by hand, but I do not believe in it in such a quick healing, so I slept for two days in a room with a sea view on the 13th floor and everything is normal!

I stayed at the Amza Hotel from June 20 to July 4, 2024. An amazing hotel! The amazing vast territory of the park, everywhere blooming rhododendrons, magnolias, cypresses and palm trees! Super! Paradise! The food is a buffet, for every taste, lots of fruits. Cleanliness and the highest ethics of service are everywhere. The staff is just great! And the sea is magical! The hotel is cool!
The children gave us a ticket and we are so glad that the place is justified!

The rooms are good, cleaned efficiently if asked, leave water, there is a kettle, tea, refrigerator, hair dryer, air conditioning, safe, lived in the left wing of a low-rise building, overlooking the sea, the sea is visible only from the top floor, so book a specific wing, check in according to vouchers

Thanks to all the staff.
And we ate and walked heartily, special thanks to Natalia for organizing the trip. Autumn excursions in Abkhazia are the best.
Our wishes upon check-in were not left aside, we asked for a higher floor and the view is the best.
So we did, thanks to the administrator Anna.
And the room was pleasantly surprised, clean, tidy and most importantly a large double bed, as we requested.
There is not much need to leave the territory, it is quite large and well-maintained.

There was only one blanket in the room. They asked for a second blanket at the reception, the girls called the maids, who in turn said: there are no extra blankets, we can give you sheets. Okay, we agreed. At the next change of bed linen, the sheets were taken away. They called the reception again, they contacted the maids, the maids said: there are no extra sheets.
Once we went to dinner with my husband separately: my husband was not allowed to have dinner for the reason: "your room was already at dinner"
For 5 stars, the service is terrible. Everything in the trailers can be purchased only for cash, which is not very convenient. Gypsies are operating in the market, grabbing people by the hands, predicting something, then demanding from 5 to 10k. If you refuse, then the rest of your vacation is showered with curses. Excursions are a separate topic. We took a tour from the hotel. Jipping to the mountains for 9 hours. The hotel offers "food" with you. What was given from the food: a couple of cucumbers, a tomato and bread. They didn't give me water. A jeep with 7 seats was announced for the tour. What we get in the end: the driver + 8 people. 4 people are sitting on a perch in the trunk in the fetal position. Of the 5 declared locations, only 4 were shown, saying that a movie is being shot at the Heksky Waterfall. What we got in fact: the driver cheated, in fact his jeep is breathing hard and he would not have been able to withstand such a number of people. The whole tour, he rolled his balls to a young girl, solved his friend's problems with traffic cops, almost got into a fight with other traffic cops. Upon arrival, we complained and we were all refunded 500 rubles/person
On the beach: the stated opening hours of the beach: from 8:00 to 23:00. Sun beds are put up at 9:00 - cleaned at 20:00. there are no garbage cans. There are gobies and glasses in the pebbles. The steps to the beach are very large. There are not enough sun beds for everyone. If you come without a blue towel, you cannot use the sun beds, even if you have a room card with you. But anyone can be on a private beach with any towel, most importantly not on a sunbed))
While we were resting, enterovirus was operating, there was a warning about it in the brochure that was given at the reception. We were rinsed by him a day after the tour (there are no questions to the hotel)
So out of 6 days we lost 2 days (1 on excursions, a watering hole for poisoning)
A very tasty restaurant in front of the hotel and not expensive (the barbecue is only rubber)
In general: we went hungry, upset and a little dissatisfied
All of the 5* cost us 150k, which barely pull 3+

We stayed at this hotel for the holidays. In general, everything is fine, but you do not agree to the last room (you can hear the elevator constantly beeping, opening and closing).
Nutrition is not bad, you will not stay hungry, but do not expect a variety.

We were also shocked by the dogs sleeping on the sofas in the lobby. They also walk freely on the territory and in the hotel itself.
The cleaning was good, the towels were changed every two days, but there were problems with the bed. It has not been changed even once in 8 days.

We were settled in a three-storey building. The room is nice, clean, with a balcony, but in the end there are no slippers, dental kits on request, bathrobes are not the first freshness
There are towels, water, kettle , tea
We were going to celebrate the anniversary
At the reception, they asked for champagne and fruit in the room upon check-in
In the end, we didn't get anything.

The second time the choice fell on the Amza hotel, we decided to come with our granddaughter and daughter, because last year we had a vacation with my husband in January and liked it.I'll start with the fact that in the dining room cockroaches walk even on chairs, I imagine that they crawl on dishes and appliances, which the guests then eat.
Also, when choosing a hotel for a trip with a 4-year-old child, they chose that there would be a children's room. All this is included in the price, but not the pool does not work and the children's room did not work for 4 days.
But the most important thing that shocked us was that when checking in, the garbage was not taken out of the room for 3 days and the room (two-room) was not cleaned, and when I turned to the administrator, they sent the maid and after her visit, the purchased package with baby clothes for a considerable amount disappeared from the room, a package with souvenirs from one room was somehow transferred to another.Having discovered the loss and relocation of packages with gifts, I immediately went up to the maid, who was still on the floor and voiced the situation and asked what you threw out the bag with things, to which she said I didn't take anything, we tell her to take it, let's sort it out somehow, what we were offered to go to the common trash and rummage there.The daughter went with her, they brought her to the 4-ton tanks and said you can look, well, they will also give a janitor to help. Well, then my chapel came and I had to go down to the administrators, but most importantly, they corresponded on Whatsapp, they didn't even get to call.I understand that they thought we were talking nonsense , but an hour later the maid brings us this bag of things and asks this one , I say yes , only there are no cookies yet
The children's packs and the package were clearly not pulled out of the trash!!! But the most incomprehensible thing is neither the maids nor the administration, no one even apologized. I will no longer set foot in this hotel and I will advise all my friends. In 6 days, give 108 thousand. AND THEY ALSO OFFER A SERVICE TO CLIMB IN THEIR TRASH TO FIND THEIR THINGS.quest

Who thinks that there is no light or Internet in Abkhazia - THERE IS, there is a stable Wi-Fi on the territory of the hotel, there were no power outages during the rest. The hotel is a bit like a sanatorium, the food is not so varied, but you can eat well. The star is picked up by the staff of the Swedish line restaurant - they lack experience and discipline, otherwise whispering and watching the hotel guests while they eat or choose food looks inappropriate, especially for the male part of this team. The hotel is very close to the sea, literally 20 meters and there will be something like an embankment and a pebble beach. The pool is heated, clean, the area for guests to relax, the sun beds are painted and cleaned, but the water there is apparently not chlorinated, presumably it is marine, because there is no smell and taste of bleach, something else. There is a spacious gym, keys at the reception, billiards, games. There is an a-la carte restaurant, a bar with a cozy lobby, the disadvantages are that there may be dogs on the territory of the hotel that can easily enter the hotel. The rooms are great, but the furniture creaks. I would really like the hotel to provide something like a transfer from the border to the hotel or from the train station.

The hotel itself is not bad, the food for breakfast is varied, if something needs to be solved at the reception (sometimes you need to come up a couple of times with one request, but it is solved).
