Saat Kulesi is the Turkish name of the tower. It is relatively young - it was built in 1901. The German Emperor Wilhelm II presented a batch of facade clocks to the Turkish Sultan Abdul Hamid in honor of the 25th anniversary of his reign. It is located in the heart of the city and you can't pass by: there is always a fuss, a lot of tourists and locals. Taxi rank - I often left the tower for a hotel or other places. By the way, the clock shows the correct time)
