The owner is generally well done.
I was in Sukhumi for three days and came here every time. And why is that? One of the few places, if not the only one, where vegans, vegetarians and fasting people can have a great lunch in Sukhum.
But even if you just want variety, then you'll be fine!

The best cafe in Sukhum, I ate there every day. Everything is very tasty, lentil soup, falafel in pita bread and on a plate, hummus, tabouleh salad. The owner is kind. And most importantly, the prices are low! I took the sliced vegetables, asked to put olives, they were very tasty, Turkish.

Pros: delicious shawarma, the prices for the promenade are low, there is a toilet.
Cons: it took a sooooooo long time to cook shawarma, during this time it was possible to plant and grow wheat for pita bread: 45 minutes with an almost empty hall. The hall itself is also not pretty, like in the dining room, I liked only the paintings in it.
The girl at the checkout does not understand well and practically does not speak Russian, but this is not a minus, it is a given, since this is still another country.
I add to the review: we were in August, we took shawarma again, as a result we got it: dry, salted, for some reason completely without vegetables and sauce. Next time we'll go somewhere else.

Everything I've tried is delicious! It is not expensive and the owners of the establishment are very pleasant - polite, smiling! I can mention the amazing falafels, tabouleh, veil, shawarma. From drinks- karkade with a rose! I definitely advise you to visit and enjoy the wonderful Syrian cuisine!

We were with our Spouse on 09/13/2024. A very friendly girl who takes orders. According to the reviews, the hostess herself. Payment can be made by transfer, to Sukhum, etc. and in general in Abkhazia, by the way, it is not possible everywhere, somewhere only in cash. It's delicious, it's really delicious. If it were possible to put 10,50,100 stars, then I would give them all to this sincere, very tasty institution. The best cafe of this style, not only in Abkhazia, but also in Russia. I've been to many places and tried different cuisines. But the cafe "arka" struck the taste buds. We took several times a vegetarian set, pilaf, soup, tortillas, meat. Everything is amazing! Friendly, kind, smiling staff and the owner of the establishment. It's a very family-run place.

VEGAN cafes, which are not found in Sukhum, are rare in the Caucasus in general.
Tasty, fast, not expensive - the main advantages of the establishment. The menu is varied, you can go at least every day. We took a vegan menu and lentil soup. The soup is a little "empty", I like it better in Chegem, but falafel and hummus are top.
A big minus for me is
a very noisy girl at the counter... while you are in the institution, you feel like you have come to uninvited guests, and not to a cafe.
He is very animatedly discussing some of his business with other employees, even interrupting the sound of music. It wasn't very pleasant.
Also, keep in mind that the cafe has an order at the counter. Also, it's a little strange, but it's the way it is. 🤷🏼♀️

It is very tasty and inexpensive. In 10 days in Sukhum, through trial and error, two of the best places to eat were established: "Nartaa" and this cafe, "Arka".
• 350 rubles will fill you up, 500 rubles will fill you up for the whole day.
• Falafel is amazing. There is no such thing in St. Petersburg or Moscow.
• Chicken — juicy fried fillet with lemon juice, huge chunks.
• Hummus with chickpeas and crunchy breadcrumbs from a flatbread — great taste and satiety. It's called "fatte", a standard portion is enough for two.
• The coffee is great! Lattes and cappuccino of 400 ml are rarely found in Sukhum :-)
• The owners are from Syria, they cook themselves and do it masterfully 👌
In addition, they are smiling and friendly people. I bring songs from my travels, so I asked the hostess to name "the most touching and sad Syrian one." In response, she... I turned on the whole projector and showed two clips! The first one is about the unhappy love of a married girl and an artist (Elissa law on YouTube). The second one is about Homs, the hostess's hometown, destroyed by the war.
"I'm sorry, dear, this is a very sad clip, but it's all true!" the hostess warned.

This is probably the most delicious falafel I've ever tasted! A cozy little restaurant with Syrian cuisine and a fairly large selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes.
