The cinema is, of course, very old and leaves much to be desired even after the internal renovation. It is not clear why more chairs should not be placed in the lobby, even in the loft style (made of wooden boxes or pallets). There are a lot of people waiting for their session, and almost everyone is standing. It's strange, because there are no special difficulties with the place. We almost always go to this cinema, it is conveniently located in the city and we really like to sit on the sofas, for a very reasonable price. For me, the Armand Cinema is not just a cinema. It's a part of my life, a part of my family's history, and, I think, a part of Almaty's soul. There are a lot of memories associated with this place. Important meetings were held here, fateful decisions were made, and plans for the future were made. It was near Armand, in the cafe opposite, that I had conversations that later influenced my whole life. Meetings with my future wife took place here, and relationships began here, which later became a family. I am a native of Almaty, and Armand accompanies me almost all my life. My parents went here, then we ourselves, and now my children know this place. Many people remember not only the cinema, but also the discos that took place here. For several generations of Almaty residents, this is much more than just a movie. I would especially like to mention the incredible soulfulness that has always been in Armand. We even remember the woman who sold the tickets. When we were late for a session, she recognized us and could sometimes let us through without any questions. Today, such an attitude seems almost impossible. Back then, people treated each other humanly, with warmth and understanding. Armand never felt like you were just another customer. It felt like you had come to a place where you were known and welcome. I really like that the cinema has survived to this day and has not been demolished for the sake of another shopping mall or business complex. Yes, it may not be as modern inside as the new cinemas, but that's exactly what its special charm lies in. The atmosphere of the old Almaty has been preserved there, which cannot be rebuilt for money. For me, Arman is located in the very heart of Almaty. This place preserves the memory of thousands of people, their first dates, meetings with friends, family trips to the cinema and important moments of life. The history of the city and its character are felt here. I really want Arman to be preserved in the form in which many generations of Almaty residents know and love him. Such places cannot be replaced with new buildings. They have been created for decades and become part of people's destiny. Thank you for keeping Armand alive. For me, this is one of the warmest, dearest and dearest places in Almaty. ❤️
