We had a family vacation in Aitar in August 2017. It was an unforgettable vacation! Pleasant atmosphere, friendly staff, delicious food, large, very beautiful and well-maintained territory with fountains, peacocks, cafes and a restaurant by the sea! The warm sea, the sun! Hello everyone It is not the first time we have been vacationing in Aitara, with each arrival we noticed an increase in prices, but also noted changes for the better. This time, compared to a vacation here 3 years ago, there are changes for the better and for the worse, unfortunately. Of the good changes, the beach has become cleaner, tidier, sun beds and umbrellas are of better quality, whole and there is enough for everyone, there are retail outlets, cafes, showers, toilets, changing rooms on the beach (there were none before). Entertainment and animators appeared, music plays in the background. Nothing much has changed in the rooms, except that the TVs were changed to plasma, but no channels were added, but it doesn't matter, they didn't turn it on much anyway. And now about the changes for the worse: previously, the hotel was quiet and cozy, we always took rooms with a view of the arboretum park, where birds are singing quietly, squirrels are running through the trees, and now cars are constantly driving under the windows and on the territory, on the square at the entrance it seems that the parking of security cars the president or someone else, I don't know (the numbers are thieves, flashing lights on the roofs). But I think the worst change is nutrition! Previously, it was always delicious and varied, the food corresponding to the level of 3 stars. After Turkey and Greece, we were happy to return to Abkhazia and specifically to Aitar, because here is the best combination of price and quality. This time we are very disappointed with the food. It's like they don't grow anything of their own, no vegetables, no greens, no fruits. Salads (if you can call them that) do not look like salads in any way, cucumbers with oak and bitter crusts are chopped (just like that), tomatoes do not even bother to cut a place from the stalk, if cabbage salad, then cabbage simply does not chew. Sometimes it happens that something like mimosa (exactly the type), olivier without eggs, which is not even seasoned with anything, but already some kind of slimy and sour, well, even for a salad they give out grated carrots, pickles and cabbage, the same oak. For breakfast there are 2 types of porridge, but on water, an omelet, but it seems that it is cooked with sour milk, sausages are generally not edible. But several times we were pampered with pancakes and pancakes with cottage cheese, once we were given boiled eggs. At lunch, there are probably no complaints about soups, 2 types of soup and always delicious. But the second hot dishes are terrible - some chicken giblets every day and cutlets of dark brown color, it was even scary to try them, if there was roast with pork, then they ate it in one fell swoop, there was also not much variety from the side dishes. No one is waiting for delicacies at the 3 stars hotel, but not expensive products, it's not just fucking and incomprehensible stuffing! There is also a rearrangement in the dining room and now the trays with hot dishes are right under a large and strong air conditioner, and considering that they are no longer very hot, after 2 minutes in the hall they become completely cold. Of course, there is a microwave nearby, but it is one, and those who want to warm up, as you know, everything, so you have to eat cold food. There are also fewer service personnel, since there are only 1.5 hours for eating, then there are a lot of people in the dining room, the available staff does not have time to clean the tables and replenish the trays on time, vacationers have to stand with plates waiting for a dish or table.

To begin with, my husband and I did not have time to get a passport, and we did not want to go to a domestic resort. Therefore, we chose Abkhazia, namely the Aitar boarding house in Sukhum. Everything turned out to be much better than we thought. Very beautiful nature, wonderful territory of the boarding house, a lot of animals (rabbits, peacocks, ducks). Nice clean beach, delicious homemade food. Also on the territory of the boarding house there are several cafes with hookah, its own shop with Abkhazian wine at ridiculous prices and tents with chic excursions (we recommend jipping on the lake. The Ritz). There is a good animation program for children both on site and on the beach. There is water aerobics.
The climate is ideal for people who have problems with pressure and blood vessels, and also do not tolerate dry air and heat.
Friendly staff, very accommodating.
We will definitely return there again!

The sea is close, that's all the advantages. The rooms are like in the Soviet Union. Excellent audibility: the neighbors can be heard perfectly. The TV shows either poorly or does not show at all. Ants. Dirty bed linen and unwashed towels. Mold in the bathroom on the walls. You have to wait two minutes for hot water to heat up. There is practically no variety in food, it's the same every time. There is not even tea at lunch. Pancakes with toasted flies in the morning. Milk is sour in the morning. Everything is spicy or bland, the average is not given. Now about the beach. It is impossible to enter the sea without special shoes, because there are huge stones.

The only thing that can somehow bother me is access to the sea .... the food is disgusting, as if they feed silage like a tablecloth, Wi-Fi is intermittent and poor speed, very bad about it... if you buy your sim card and eat at a restaurant, then maybe it will do... the rooms are not cleaned or washed while you live there, they only come to pick up the garbage, it's disgusting.. male locals come to their homes , scare women , etc. and so on , it used to be better ... for that kind of money, I'm not satisfied with the service at all ...
