Yes, there was a time when they built fortresses, kazyrms, gates with towers. It is a pity that there is only one gate left. The barracks buildings have been preserved, one on Afrosiyab Street, the other almost parallel, on the other side of the former fortress along I. Karimov Street. Interestingly, if you look from a bird's eye view, you can still see that the shape of the fortress was in the form of an eight-sided star. The corners of the barracks clearly outline this. Tashkent beauty and practicality of that time were welcomed even in such small details of construction!
