The only place in Belarus where you can enroll in applied mathematics or programming without passing a CT in physics. I will apply here in 2023 with a probability of 90 percent. I hope that applied mathematics will be recruited this year;) Or maybe some new programs from the Russian Federation will be dragged in. I would like to be able to enroll in cybersecurity or AI-related programs without a PhD in physics.

An interesting, updated university. I was here on a business trip. The university is very beautiful, there are stained glass windows inside, in the evening the university building is illuminated by contour lighting. The square itself is very beautiful. The university is more technical, rather than general disciplinary. He lived in a university dormitory. Next to the left of the main building of the university is located. The hostel is clean and warm. The staff is kind and helpful. The NKVD was once located in the university building. And in the courtyard there was a square prison building surrounded on all sides by the NKVD building. A kind of box in a box. These places have a very rich history.

A good way to keep your offspring busy with some (practically useless) activity in order to "not drink, smoke or inject." A kind of way to artificially prolong the time of "carefree youth". Given the teaching staff, which is hopelessly behind the times and progress, your child is unlikely to receive any significant knowledge in terms of their practical application and subsequent monetization. A pleasant exception is made only by individual employees who are trying to modernize the teaching process and strive to provide practically meaningful knowledge. But in the general mass, this contribution is not noticeable. In my personal opinion, it is simply useless to study there now. It's a waste of time (and money if the training is paid).

I studied at BRU more than 17 years ago. I remember that time with warmth, as any person remembers his student years. He received a good general technical education. But, guys, even then everything was outdated. I don't think it's better now. In general, I do not understand why to enroll in provincial universities - only Minsk or abroad. And I also went to building 1 just now and seemed to be transported back to my student years. Nothing has changed there! Absolutely nothing! The same corridors, painted in the same color. The same classrooms with the same desks, on which inscriptions from 20 years ago are scrawled. The same toilet cisterns. A new building was built, but not for students, as I understand it.

I am Russian, born and raised in Siberia. I came to Belarus 6 years ago. He immediately enrolled in the Belarusian-Russian University, without any fraud and tricks, on a budget. If we take into account that I am now 50 years old, then it becomes clear that it is worth some effort to enroll in the budget at the BRU. Well, now, about BRU himself, the teachers are wonderful people. And if you also know that they do not take bribes, do not extort anything from students, but teach everyone honestly, with some kind of paternal love, then you can say that the time of my studies at the BRU reminded me of my studies in the USSR.
