Mount Beshbarmag, or "Five Fingers", is located 80 km from Baku, near the city of Siazan and the coast of the Caspian Sea.
This unique place is known for its ancient legends and historical significance. The mountain got its name due to the shape resembling the five fingers of a hand. In ancient times, Beshbarmag served as a landmark for seafarers and merchants. Defensive structures of the VI century and the ruins of the ancient city of Khursangal, founded in the III century BC, were discovered here.
According to legend, the prophet Khidyr found a source of "living water" in the vicinity of the mountain, thanks to which he gained immortality. This place became known as Khidyr Zinda. Historical references to the mountain can be found in the writings of Arab travelers and historians such as Al-Masudi and Al-Bazuri, as well as in the chronicles of the 7th century Albanian historian Musa Galakendli.

I am very pleased with the visit. The climb is a bit difficult, but with a little rest it is quite good. But there is a beautiful view upstairs, and you can also drink tea there, the guys are cooking a samovar there!
