We came to Abkhazia for the first time, on the advice of friends we settled in Kamarit.
The incredibly convenient and picturesque location of the hotel, there are no noisy cafes nearby, but the city center is 5 minutes away.
The main advantage of the hotel is the sea within walking distance.
The staff is wonderful and friendly, the hotel has a family atmosphere.
A very nice dining room with fresh food and pleasant prices. We especially recommend omelette, garlic sauce and trout.
You can rent saps and enjoy the sunset from the water.
Free sun beds are available on site, both in the sun and in the shade.
The rooms have everything you need, including air conditioning, a fridge with freezer, a kettle, a spacious wardrobe and a table with dishes.
Each room has access to a terrace where you can dry your clothes and enjoy the warm Abkhazian evenings.
We were completely delighted with the rest, so we confidently recommend Kamarit.

A delicious and inexpensive dining room, friendly staff who responds to requests. The hotel is developing, mattresses are being gradually changed, there is water, the air conditioner is working, a calm and cozy beach with a small number of people, clean up the deadwood a little and everything will be super. Special thanks to Marina for the delicious cuisine and kind attitude. Within walking distance of the New Athos Monastery, Stalin's cottage, caves, waterfall and park. The hotel is quiet, cozy and peaceful, you can leave things on the beach at least for the night, a safe and sincere place. I recommend it!

I'm staying in Kamarita for the second time, I just can't imagine a better place to stay in Abkhazia! You live right on the beach, a stone's throw from all the main attractions of Mount Athos, the rooms are clean, the staff is very polite, friendly and tactful. Moreover, all those who work at this hotel are wonderful people.
For people who completely lack logical thinking, I will immediately inform you - do not expect a suite for this price. Personally, for me, the quality matches or maybe exceeds the price tag.
For some it will be a minus, but for me it was a huge plus - cute cool kind dogs live on the territory)))a huge disadvantage was that when I left it was very sad to part with them 😔 3 ponytails even went to accompany me to the minibus 💔but, of course, those who do not like dogs or are even afraid of them should keep this in mind, in this case it is better to choose some closed expensive hotel and not leave it territories in general, but it is better to choose another country to visit))))there are a lot of stray dogs in Abkhazia, there is nowhere to hide from them and they are all good-natured without exception 🐶

Well, well! I would like to write about this place in particular. Firstly, it is incredibly beautiful. A real place of power.
A small hotel consisting of rooms.
Right on the shore. 30 meters and you're already at sea.
Secondly: An empty beach, only of vacationers. The purest sea. Stunning sunsets.
Thirdly: At any time, you swim, sunbathe, lie in your room, go on an excursion. It's easy to vary all this and even change it at any minute.
Which is good:
- sea - 30 meters
- air conditioning
- refrigerator
- wi-fi works very well
- the on-site dining room is delicious
- friendly hosts
- friendly staff
- You can order a taxi at the reception
- they will take you on excursions on request
- shops and fruit stalls are within walking distance
- you can stay with pets
What to work on and what is missing:
- there are almost no sunbeds on the beach (there is a hunt for sunbeds and conflicts among the guests)
- kettles in the rooms are only on the first line
- they clean the rooms only if you ask, so it's a little dirty
- the toilet paper is terrible
- there is no bar and therefore all the guests run upstairs to the Panda cafe or to the shops
Result. The place is gorgeous. The nature is amazing! The resort is being developed and they are trying to make it more comfortable.
If you know how to enjoy nature and luxury comfort is not important to you / everything is just fine here.

It was the first time, I liked the price/quality ratio. Big beach, lots of space. They lived in a new brick building next to the administration house. The room is spacious, everything is quite comfortable: dark curtains, a rather quiet refrigerator (oddly enough), a large bathroom. Sound insulation, of course, is not ideal. But it's not 5 stars either. I wanted to stay longer, but there were no more places.

The first thing people write about Turkey is that 1 star is clearly indicated on Kamarit. Price? Why is it like in Turkey? 5 thousand for the first row and 3600 for the second. + -. For 10 nights, respectively, 50 thousand and 36 thousand. Show me Turkey for this money, this year at least 150 thousand.
Now in order. Having studied the cost, proximity to the sea, service - this meets the value requirements. If the price is raised, then you can bet.
People traveling for 3500, what kind of service are you waiting for? Palace, Plaza, etc., sorry, there are 20,000 per day. Therefore, the price tag matches the offer.
The place is quiet, there are cameras everywhere, which is very important. I will say this, on a piece of the beach there are those who rest in the complex, there are no strangers. Wi-Fi catches everywhere, even on the beach, which is a big plus. The maids clean the rooms, if someone writes the opposite, I want to note that there is only one key and if you took it and left, the maid will not get to you. We were lucky with the maid, her name is Lena, a person who loves her job, I really wanted the administration to give her a bonus, because not everyone can love work like that, she didn't get tired at all, ran and cleaned, brought, whatever you ask. When she found us in the room, she said let's clean, clean, etc. We lived in the second row. She always brought garbage bags, toilet paper, etc., even offered to replace the bedding herself. We refused, we made it ourselves. The administration should cherish such employees, I would entice her to work for me, but I live far away.
Yes, in the rooms that are cheaper, there is also furniture that is not so new, but also not dilapidated and not the USSR. The more expensive ones we looked at were completely updated plus a modern renovation.
There is a dining room on the territory, prices are almost like everywhere + -, delicious, but there are drawbacks, this is slowness, when ordering, serving about 15-20 minutes, in the absence of a queue. The dining room itself is comfortable, there is air conditioning, there is a terrace with tables, the chefs cook delicious food, excellent location as well as accommodation on the beach and food. You can also buy bottled water here, so as not to pull from far from the store.
The beach, there are enough sunbeds, they are free. But, again, but ..., people who greedily occupy sun beds and dry their towels there, naturally in quotation marks. They will take up sun beds and do not go out to them all day. Why are you doing this? What kind of greed is this? According to my observations, due to the fact that the complex is located on the beach itself, people change constantly, went out for a swim, went out, lay on the sunbed for half an hour, left, others left. There is no need to cling to these sunbeds and fight for them, much less dry towels on them for 10 days.
The sea is clean, the beach is too. There is an employee, walks, mows, cleans.
Bed linen and towels are changed every 4 days.
If we compare this year with the beaches of Anapa, then it is in this complex that the freedom of the beach and the sea is simply gorgeous, it came to the point that we were swimming alone. There is no crowd.
There is also a camping site, electricity is connected to it, there is a toilet, shower, WiFi, I do not know the cost, but there are many people who like to relax.
I wanted to write and advise a lot, but here is a review about Kamarit, so I will not write tips on excursions and about the Newest Athos. I will write separately.
The administration, the canteen, the staff, the maids, all friendly, all issues are solved, responsive.
Everyone who likes to relax right on the beach with conditions plus a free beach and the sea, come here.
I want to note right away that we had a 5-star and 4-star vacation. But we will definitely come here more than once.

I am writing a review about the room on the 2nd line. I don't know what's going on on line 1.
(Nature is very good in Abkhazia)
but …
Positive:
1. Walk to the sea in one minute
2. There is an air conditioner
3. There are sun loungers
4. Nearby attractions
5. The beach is empty
Minuses:
1. Mattresses are a horror, I thought there would be marks on the back from the springs.
2. The shower cabin, the curtain in it -...... there is nothing to say. The first time I climbed into it with a gag reflex, then I got used to it.
3. Prices everywhere are crazy (we were not ready for this)
4. AND THE BIGGEST MINUS IS COCKROACHES!!!! The size of an index finger!!! I found out about them at the end of my vacation!! I was shocked!!!! There were A LOT OF THEM.
I didn't expect anything from the room, we always take a room just to spend the night. BUT it's just terrible.
I understand everything, 1 star and so on, but this is too much. Cockroaches have ruined my whole impression of this hotel.
In general, I do not recommend this hotel. Perhaps there will be no cockroaches on the 1st line)))))
And in general, I think it will be better to relax in Gagra (in terms of choosing cafes, hotels and entertainment)

This year we had a rest at the Kamarita from July 1 to July 23.Just like last year, we booked a room on line 3.The room is simple and cozy.There were practically no interruptions in water and electricity.The TV was showing 2-3 programs, and those were unclear.But we don't need it.I was pleased with the weather.It was hot and we went to the sea every day.The sea is warm and clean, within walking distance, which is very comfortable.The beach is fine, there are few people.I was pleasantly surprised by the local canteen!The menu is varied and relatively inexpensive.Thanks a lot to the chefs who are masters of their craft: Inge and Asmat. They cook very well.The receptionist Hamida is always attentive and friendly to the guests.Professionally and tactfully treats the wishes and requests of vacationers.The maintenance staff performs their duties in good faith.In general, we liked the rest in the guest complex!

We had a rest in June 2023. Of the advantages : 1 coastline, private beach, sun loungers, quiet and peaceful. The bus stop and the main locations are just around the corner. (great location) . There was no Wi-Fi in the room, but everything was OK on the territory and on the beach. Excellent water pressure. Of the minuses: poor mattresses, there is no kettle in the room (we bought a mini kettle in the nearest store for 250 rubles), a hair dryer on request (who needs it), I would like at least some kind of kitchen with a stove and a kettle, there is only a refrigerator and 2 glasses in the room. Don't even cut the salad. I had to eat outside the territory. Of course, a dining room was built on the territory, but we did not like it. In general, I recommend it, price-quality.

The main advantage of Camarita is its proximity to the sea. Swimming trunks from the room into the water is a thrill. All other attractions of New Athos are within walking distance. The beach is pebbly, the sun loungers are free (our tourists try to occupy them for the entire duration of their stay - I just put away the towels and put the chaise longue where it is convenient for me)..by the way, the beach is cleaned constantly, even after a storm. This year, the territory has its own dining room, a little more expensive than in the center, but nearby. In general, for an unassuming tourist, it is a good place.

Two adults and a 16-year-old girl were vacationing in Kamarita from August 9 to 22, 2023. We had a house in the second row with two beds (double and single), air conditioning, refrigerator, bathroom, TV, shower. There was a wardrobe in the room, there was a very short table, but this issue could be solved (it was lazy). By the way, the Internet in the room caught perfectly. We're not very picky, so we were fine with everything. Of the cons, there was no cleaning in the room from the word "at all". The cleaner never came to us, but I want to note that the third and first rows were cleaned regularly. The location of the complex is excellent: you left the house and you are on the beach. There are not many people. The sea is warm and clean in August. The staff is very friendly and always ready to help in any situation. Special thanks to the administrator Hamida, a very sensitive and responsive person. There is a dining room on site. From morning to evening, you can enjoy traditional Abkhazian cuisine and more. There is a lot of choice there and the chefs are trying very hard. You can also drink beer, wine, and chacha there. During the day in an air-conditioned room, in the evening on the veranda to the sound of the sea. Nata Sergeevna manages the dining room. She is a very wonderful person, with a great Caucasian soul and a wonderful sense of humor. And he will advise, and talk, and treat. Isolde is a wonderful cook. We were in new rooms on line 1 (number 4). Someone writes, what did you want for that kind of money? I don't know, we paid an amount comparable to Turkey all inclusive. The main thing that bothered me was the lack of sound insulation between the rooms, absolutely everything was audible. Then I found just holes in the wall between the decorative masonry, one brick thick wall. Hungry dogs on the beach were also annoying. As for the dining room, the food is good, homemade, but the prices are more expensive than in the city, it seems to me that it is not right for its guests to wind up like that. The TV worked only from the Internet, and there were constant problems with it, so there was no TV at all. There are not enough sun beds on the beach. The sea was pleasing, yes.

I slept in earplugs, because on the 1st line the sea is very audible and we must be ready for this. This year we decided to have a family vacation (2 adults and a child) in Abkhazia, in New Athos. After much thought, we booked a room in advance at the Kamarit guest complex from June 30 to July 20, 2023. We lived in a wooden house on the 3rd line. The room had two beds, a refrigerator, air conditioning, wardrobe, shower, toilet.I must say right away, if you want more or less comfortable conditions, book rooms in new buildings. Everything was fine with us. There was hot and cold water every day, bed linen and towels were changed every four days.
But the most important advantage of the complex is its location on the seashore.There is a dining room on site where you can eat delicious food.
Special thanks to the cook Isolde, who cooked very tasty porridges for us in the morning 💐
Responsive, friendly staff.The administrator of the complex Hamida is a man with a capital letter, helped us with the transfer, with the extension of the stay, attentive to requests.If you want a quiet, relaxing holiday by the sea, come to this wonderful place!

We went on an excursion with children from Adler to Abkhazia, so that it would not be so hard for the children, we decided to stay in New Athos with an overnight stay next to the sea, we chose this guest house. We stopped by in the evening. We rented a house a day in advance, the cost is 4200 per day , we paid 8400, and for the return transfer 6tr. It would be better not to stay there. Because it's dirt, the stink in the house. Old furniture, Mattresses! A muddy shore, with a bunch of sticks, trees, and algae. Dirty sea. Just thrown out 15 tr, it would be better to go back immediately after the tour. The disappointment is complete!!! I do not recommend it! I wouldn't even live in such conditions for free.

The rooms are not cleaned and there are not even brooms so that the guests can sweep themselves. There is a dining room on the territory where drinks are not refilled and I do not report a full portion, so there are always empty tables, people do not want to be deceived. As far as possible , they do everything , even if not so fast .There is more garbage from such "business " vacationers .Instead of carrying it to a container nearby, he throws it into an urn at sea, which is for small debris, and immediately after everything has been cleaned there.
Or a girl in the reviews with an awning - they drive in cars, settle down and instead of parking the car in the parking lot, they put it at the houses.For example, I drive such people - why should I admire them from the house?

We had a rest in Kamarita from August 12 to August 21, 2023. From the railway station to Camarita is very close, less than 10 minutes away. The friendly receptionist Hamida met us and immediately offered us the keys to the reserved room. So at 10.45 we have already checked in. If you don't find fault with the little things, then the room with all the amenities was quite comfortable for us. The hotel is located on the first line, its own beach of small pebbles: from the room in swimming trunks directly into the sea – beauty! The sea is clean, but the water was very warm, 29 degrees, does not even cool. We swam all day, early in the morning, in the afternoon, and at night. All the rooms of the hotel were occupied, but the beach was so free that it seemed that there were no vacationers. There is a cafe on site. An extensive menu for every budget and taste. Nata Sergeevna, the senior cashier, is a friendly girl with a sense of humor, on the first day she gave an excursion through the menu, told about the team, introduced the cook and her assistant. The cook Isolda is a great professional: she cooks delicious, homemade, as for herself, the portions are huge. The wonderful and modest Samat Anatolyevna helps her in this. If they say that Abkhazia is a Country of the Soul, then the cafe staff is its living embodiment. Thanks to the girls for their hospitality! From Kamarit to the center of New Athos, where there are many shops, shops and cafes, it is almost a five-minute walk. In the evening, we had fun walking around the most beautiful park, relaxing in a cafe and dancing to live music.
During the rest, we visited all the sights of New Athos, including Stalin's dacha, went on an excursion to Lake Ritsa, Pitsunda, Gagra and Sukhum. So there are only positive impressions about the rest in Kamarita! The impression was slightly spoiled by vacationers who left towels or other rags on the sun beds, such as busy, and did not approach them for several days, so there were not enough sun beds for everyone. I suggested that the owner of the hotel, Henri, do as they do in Turkey or Egypt in some hotels: collect the trestles in a pile, and dump the "rags" of the smart-ass in a pile - let them figure it out later! This is the fourth time we have been vacationing in Abkhazia itself. I am glad that public spaces are gradually being put in order in cities and towns, and this is noticeable! So next year we will definitely come to Abkhazia for a vacation and choose a place of rest Kamarit!

We were in 2018. I put 4* for the location and the price-quality ratio. A very budget vacation. Accommodation in rooms by the beach for 1*. There is no cleaning. Water and light are periodically turned off.But we did not expect a service for 20,000 rubles. For 10 days. The proximity to the sea covers all the disadvantages: in the morning, right in a swimsuit, 20 meters from the room in the sea ....
The beach is pebbly.
The city (New Athos) is a 5-minute walk away. There we had lunch in a cafe: trout, salad, wine. Everything is very tasty. We went on excursions: hydrogen sulfide source, Comans. We went up the mountain to the fortress, to the cave of St. Simon the Canonite. The places are very picturesque.

I had a vacation in September 2022. The houses stand in three rows right on the coast, about forty meters from the sea. I was settled on the third line, but the sea was visible)
The house is completely (floors , walls, ceiling) made of clapboard, a very modest room, to say the least ..... Meters 10sqm.The building is probably 15 years old.
The location is excellent, the sea is just around the corner!
The beach is cleaned by one employee, but from morning to night)
There are also new rooms in a three-storey building, spacious, they are much more expensive,
The city's shops are a 10-minute walk away.
I walked to the New Athos caves in 40 minutes.
The Monastery is also a 45-minute walk away
It's a longer walk to the Anakopian Fortress, up the mountain
The promenade with cafes is a 20-minute walk away.
The park is 15 minutes away
In general, I don't want to go for a walk ☺

The sea is a few meters from the hotel, and that's the main thing!
For those who are not looking for some disadvantages in their vacation, this is the best thing. The rooms are not very clean, but we took a rag and wiped it as we needed.
By numbers - there are old and new numbers. The new first line from 1 to 8 looks like a house, everything is modern and catches the VF. The rest is an old fund, but it will do too. There is a detached new beautiful building - a house of 3 floors.
The rooms have towels, kettle, TV, air conditioning, toilet.
The staff is helpful, the host is good.
New Athos is 500 meters away along the highway or along the shore. Near the temple, waterfall, cafes, shops.
Roma's cafe is inexpensive relative to everyone and with local cuisine.

We just got back from Camarita. We rested from August 7 to August 14, before that I was here in 2016. So many years have passed, but nothing has changed. We lived in a two-storey building, which they still call "new", although in 2016 we already lived there and it became very shabby during this time. Classic Camarite, no service, our room cost 5k per day, as a result: gnawed baseboards on the ceiling, the faucet in the bathroom is flowing and buzzing, the door to the dressing room does not close, only with effort, the beach is dirty. I don't know why they write that the beach is constantly being cleaned, because it is not cleaned at all, all the garbage was lying there as we arrived and when we left. There is no kitchen, there is a kettle, a bunch of glasses for some reason, 1 fork 1 spoon. But since I knew where I was going, I took everything I could with me to cook food, since in Abkhazia it is very easy to get poisoned if you eat somewhere in establishments. If it rains at night, then the audibility is as if the house is about to be demolished. In general, Kamarit believes that the 1st line by the sea is the main reason why people will come to them, despite their huge shoals and the price of housing, which is not worth the money. The dining room was made, well, I would say the prices are too high, but at least there is a place to eat nearby, they feed normally, usually. The only plus is the sea, it's cool, clean and close to housing. That's all.

We are having a rest in Kamarita (August 13-23). Great location, perfect option! The houses are literally on the beach. The beach is wide, spacious, there is enough space for everyone. By the way, there are also enough sun beds for everyone. The hotel is located at the entrance to New Athos, very close to the "Shell" bus stop, literally 5 minutes on foot and we are in the center. The rooms are decent, everything you need is there. There is hot water all the time, only once it was turned off for a couple of hours. But the electricity is regularly cut off at night during a thunderstorm, maybe they do it consciously in order to avoid a short circuit?.. The staff is helpful, helpful and unobtrusive. Of course, there are certain nuances: everything here from mattresses to plumbing is not the newest, but this is not critical. In general, it is very cozy here, I want to come back here!

A terrible place, service for 2, bed linen is not changed, towels are not changed, they asked to change, they said that we would take them away, wash them and bring them back to you. A plumber was called, he came on the 2nd day, dirt, horror furniture, no one cleaned the rooms for 7 days, they washed themselves. The cleaner was asked to clean the toilet, she did not give it because she needed to wash the next room. The garbage from the sea was washed up, it lay for 2 days, everyone went and said that it was a noble dump. The beds are terrible, there are just piles of garbage on the territory, they burned, they didn't even take it out. There are no sun beds, there is always running after sun beds. We left a huge and positive impression of the girls from the dining room, the food is excellent, homemade, delicious, we put them 5. Do not take Chacha in the dining room, poison. They took me home and did an examination. I give this (hotel) a solid 2, I hope I will not return to this location anymore. Good luck to everyone.

I'm not resting for the first time, there used to be a restaurant, this season the food was only in the city. Among the advantages is a beautiful spacious beach, the prospect of a new dining room on site next season, Room stock: the new rooms are normal, the old ones are terrible, sleeping places with creepy old mattresses and springs in them....The staff is responsive, polite, you just have to ask for everything, cleaning, changing towels, etc., in general, if you take a new room, it's great.

We were at the campsite: the territory is clean, cold water, hot shower, refrigerators, electricity. The bathroom and shower are washed every day - there is no smell of toilet and dirt at all. They even put toilet paper in the toilet.
The beach is pebbly, clean. The water is clean.
The prices are loyal: for a tent of 5* 4 m 900 rubles.
The staff is polite.
We recommend it. We come for the third time - they keep the quality of service stable.
