The Arch-Cathedral Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary was built in 1700-1710 as a temple of the monastery of the Jesuit Order. During the war period, the church was severely damaged: two towers of the temple were destroyed, the frescoes on the walls were covered with paint, and the sports and assembly halls occupied the interior. In 1993, the shrine was returned to the faithful, and a complete restoration of the facade and interior of the building was carried out. Much has been restored from old photographs and eyewitness accounts. The new altar looks especially attractive now. It is also interesting to look at the paintings reflecting the way of the cross of Jesus Christ. The cathedral really started playing after the installation of the organ. Concerts with the participation of local and foreign performers are periodically held in the temple.

The Central One, I said so, is the Temple of Minsk! Well, it's beautiful to talk about the Temple there... it's a bit wrong...The place is salted.I was baptized there myself , on the way from the institute in 1993, it was already 23, I was terribly worried, and the priest said, you will read from the institute in Old Slavonic (church), 12 adults of different ages were baptized with me...So this temple is special to me!!! I visit there often, even though I have already opened in Sukharevo, and in the village of Glebki too!!! In general, it's a bit strange to evaluate a Temple, it gets warmer inside in everyone if a Person is a believer!

The main Catholic cathedral of Belarus was built at the beginning of the XVIII century. In the 90s of the XX century, it was restored, and now it harmoniously adjoins the houses of the Stalin era.

The Arch-Cathedral of the Most Holy Name of the Blessed Virgin Mary is a Baroque Catholic cathedral, the main Catholic church in Belarus, built back in 1700-1710, also known as the "Jesuit Church". A beautiful Catholic church, built in 1700-1710. (completed before 1747) as a church attached to a Jesuit monastery, in connection with which it is also known as the "Jesuit church".It belonged to the Jesuits until 1773, when the order was banned throughout Europe by papal decree.
In the 19th century, services were held here until 1934, when the last priest was arrested.The building was used as a garage and a car service station.The church building has undergone a major reconstruction. Both towers were destroyed, a new Empire-style one was added to the original Baroque facade, the building was divided into three floors with reinforced concrete floors and given to the Spartak sports society. In 1993, the church began to be reconstructed, and on October 21, 1997, the cathedral was consecrated in the name of the Blessed Virgin Mary.The Episcopate of Austria presented the cathedral with a new organ, which is considered one of the best in Eastern Europe. The organ sounds during the services, the service starts at 18.30. In order to listen to the organ, it is better to attend the service on weekends. The interior is very beautiful and unusual. Be sure to visit it if you are in Minsk, it is one of the attractions of the city.

An epic place in the very center of Minsk. I highly recommend that you look at the days of organ music concerts on the temple's website. One drawback is that it is not heated inside, and for men, even in severe frost in winter, the entrance without a headdress can be cold. But the atmosphere is incredible - I recommend going in anyway.

I was upset by the sermon after all the prayers, it emphasized the comparison with Europe. A temple is a place for the soul, not for worldly fuss.
