The Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker is located in Ag.Peski, Mostovsky district. In 1867-1870, a modern St. Nicholas Church, built in the retrospective Russian style, was erected on the site of an old wooden church designed by architect Nikolai Tsikhvinsky.
The temple was built at the expense of the state. A significant sum was also donated for the construction of a new church in Peski by nobleman Alexander Oznabishin, the then owner of Bridges, whose grave is located on the territory of the temple.
