The temple is very old from the 10th century, the small roof is covered with tiles that they want to restore (for many years now). Nearby are the ruins of the castle of the Abkhazian princes and a clearing where the elders solve all issues even in our time! There is a large lime tree in the clearing near the temple (they say it's centuries-old!?).the place is very beautiful. And the most remarkable feature of this temple is the icon of the Most Holy Theotokos-the Sign! And although the icon of 1914 is next to it, amazing and inexplicable events are taking place! Many people cry, fall into a trance, some get down on their knees and have to be lifted! This is not fiction! This is the 5th time I've come here to visit this icon on purpose, and every time they take me away from it by the arms! I would never have believed it before, because in the USSR we were raised atheists from school to university, and you must come and see for yourself!

I really liked the church. The icons of the Most Holy Theotokos are very beautiful.
Unfortunately, the priest and the nun, I don't remember their names, just stuck in my memory and now I keep these pleasant meetings in my heart!!! Yes, there was also a wonderful market and very tasty goodies!!!

It is better, of course, on a personal basis and during the absence of tourists! I won't say that tourists are a specific "minus", but with a large number of people, it's impossible to feel the profitability of this place.…
