After updating the projector and replacing the seats, it became a normal cinema. Although all the placement is done around the circumference, it is still better to take places either in the central part or in the lower one. In the side part, when you sit and watch a movie, you have to squint at the screen all the time, generally in a half-turn. If they had put monitors at the ticket counter when choosing tickets, where you can choose free seats, and so you stand and wonder how you play the game you believe in disbelief with the cashier. You can pay with a card, there is a funk machine at the cash desks. There is a buffet, but it sometimes works, sometimes not, so it's better to take something with a sub. On the second floor there is a winter garden with birds in cages, it is very interesting for children, and for adults too. There are coffee shops and KFC within walking distance. The cinema is not bad!

I would ban popcorn in the cinema: there is dirt in the hall, there is only one point of sale, and until everyone has bought popcorn, they have not left the queue. As a result, the movie is already on, and people with bowls of corn are pushing into their seats, they litter along the way, getting up to let them pass, they also litter- an outrage. The hall itself is nice, it's nice to watch movies in it. The illumination of the row numbers is a little pale.

Of course, the cinema is a legend, but it loses to modern standards. If you are taller than 180 cm, then watching a movie is torture. The screen is very large and the image from the back rows may not be so cloudy. The optimal format here would be 4k, but not as not fhd. There's just no sound. Alas, his days have passed and there is no way without restoration.

An incomparable cinema with a purely positive aura, I have been happy to go to it for 35 years, and there have never been any emergencies! Near the entrance to the subway! Reasonable ticket price, an aviary with colorful parrots on the second floor. I sincerely recommend everyone to visit the October cinema, one of the best and extremely cozy!

I haven't been in October for 5 years. I went with my family to the movie "Cheburrashka" in January 2023. The hall and foyer have not changed at all. There was a thermometer in the hall and it showed 15 degrees. For 1.5 hours of the film, the coolness was felt. The staff is friendly. The sound and picture are good.
