It was just a gastronomic explosion. The kitchen is beyond praise. It's rare to find pasta aldente anywhere, but we were lucky in this place. Desserts, a separate topic:) The waiters are great. With this approach to the guests of the establishment, we did not feel sorry for 10% for the service, and even more so not a tip for the waiter!!!

I was here in 2022 and at that time the place was gorgeous. Needless to say, I was on a business trip with colleagues from Italy, and they fully approved of it (and you probably know how zealous Italians are about food, especially their cuisine). Therefore, Del Papa on Gogol definitely goes into the recommendations. A few details below.
Food is nothing to complain about. Snacks, pasta, pizza - classic taste, very well done and exactly as they would have done in Italy (and there was a lot of everything eaten over the years of travel). The pizza recipe was shared by the guys from St. Petersburg 22 cm, and they can safely compete with Milan in this matter.
Drinks - the aperol is made from the heart, a good selection of high-quality wines, standard beer, decent homemade non-alcoholic drinks.
The atmosphere is friendly, family-friendly, it is clear that the interior has a soul and reflects the Italian spirit. It can be a little stuffy, which makes strong drinks work more strongly, but it's enough to ask to open the window a little and it gets better.
The service is a decent level. But there is no need to wait for extra piety or helpfulness, because both the place and its spirit are not about that. The service is just good, everyone is very friendly and gives their best. We had dinner with a full landing and in general there was enough attention. In rare cases, you had to wait a couple of minutes before you could catch a waiter to order something, but that's okay. The guys worked very well. The dishes were taken out quickly, correctly, and no one was forgotten (and there were 6 of us).

Overall, the place is good. But the abr group (including del papa) decided that they would write prices in the menu without VAT, and then additionally include 12% VAT in the receipt. "After all, it is accepted everywhere in Kazakhstan, as you know" (sarcasm)
I don't mind the money, but I didn't expect such a trick in the service.

My favorite Del Papa on Gogol is a cozy small restaurant, attentive waiters. Delicious and varied pasta, there is a children's menu.

The cafe Del Papa, randomly chosen for lunch on 87 Gogol Street, turned out to be a pleasant surprise, which combined a cozy, stylish Italian interior, not intrusive and calm at home, and excellent quality of dishes. I would especially like to mention the tomato soup with pesto and parmesan souffle (the perfect flavor combination) and the dessert from the chef Brownie with truffle-caramel sauce (it will remain in memory for a long time). Ginger tea will delight you with the correct concentration of all ingredients and will not leave you indifferent. I would also like to note the pleasant service, not intrusive, but cordial and professional. It feels like the team at this cafe is trying to make your stay comfortable and delicious. Summary- be sure to visit Del Papa to get gastronomic pleasure and dine in a homely atmosphere. Of the disadvantages, the 12% tax is not included in the price of meals.

A great place with delicious Italian cuisine. Sooooo delicious homemade pasta, buratta, wine. Nice interior, good service. Prices are slightly above average. On weekends, De Papa can be crowded, so the dishes are served for a long time. But everything is very tasty, I recommend it.
