For the first time I stayed in Brest for two days and I wanted to have a delicious dinner. On Sovetskaya Street, I accidentally chose the restaurant "House of Fani Braverman", inside I immediately immersed myself in an atmosphere of comfort and professionalism, a beautiful and not overloaded interior, Christmas decorations, cute girls and an excellent menu immediately determine the European style, apparently the owner knows what he is doing. Separately, I want to praise the chef, the kitchen is great and the products are not those that are available, but those that are needed! Bold combinations, beautiful serving, excellent taste of dishes, a good wine list and drinks will please gourmets who know a lot about good restaurants.
The highest level of professionalism in everything.
I recommend this place to everyone!

The place is cozy and comfortable, a pleasant veranda, unobtrusive music, but... prices are significantly inflated, especially for breakfast. The quality of the kitchen is average (scrambled eggs and bacon are severely overcooked, and scramble is fine). The service does not seem to be bad, attentive and unobtrusive, but very (!!!) unhurried, considering the small number of visitors.

We visited this institution with our family. A restaurant with a claim to a high standard. According to the waiter, the kitchen is under the knife, so waiting for ready meals can take 40-50 minutes. Of the ordered dishes, I liked the pancakes with salmon and absolutely did not like the borscht, which has a very sour taste and for some reason neither lard, garlic, nor bread is served to the borscht, as is usually customary in other establishments. The waiters do not warn about this. As a result, you get a plate of red soup with a spoonful of sour cream (by the way, not all people eat this dish with sour cream and it would be appropriate to serve sour cream separately). In general, I do not recommend borscht in this institution. And also, if you suddenly want raf coffee, this institution serves it without syrup by default (although this drink is indicated on the menu with syrup to choose from). If you do not specify, the waiter will not tell you that he will bring you coffee similar to cappuccino, only made of cream. This is not raf coffee. From this institution, I would like an attentive staff who loves their job, the place and the dishes that they present (in fact, they do not represent anything at all) to customers. This approach will at least eliminate any unjustified expectations from food and drinks. Judging by the reviews, such surprises happened not only to us.

We were in Brest on business trips. Fanny Braverman's house became our favorite place, we spent all our days there.
Excellent location in the city center, quiet hall and noisy veranda, cozy interior.
A magnificent bar - a huge selection of alcoholic cocktails, a large selection of soft drinks and various fruit cocktails, homemade soda.
The bar has captured our hearts, the alcoholic cocktails are just great, the bartenders know their business perfectly.
The food is beyond praise.
The gorgeous steaks, the magnificent olivier salad, and the herring just won our hearts.
Great breakfasts, they are really worth a try, we accidentally came in the morning and were infinitely satisfied. It was the best Shakshuka I've ever tasted.
Wonderful tartare, beef carpacho, great grilled vegetables. Great desserts and ice cream that captivated us.
I can describe it for a long time, I recommend trying it.
The staff is very friendly and polite, happy to help and fulfill the wishes of the guests. Thanks to the owner of the establishment and the whole team!
P.S
Yes, the price tag is higher than in other establishments in the city. And there is no such cult of Belarusian cuisine.
But how delicious and cozy it is here. It's worth the money!
If I come to Brest again, I will definitely come for the signature steak, herring and olivier.

When we were walking along the Conscience, I was eager to visit this place. The very name and appearance are interesting. We came in the next day, but we drank coffee and freshly squeezed juice. The interior is very beautiful. I asked the waitress to tell me about the history of this place and the concept of the house and the people who lived there. She did not lose her head and told about the Braverman family.
It was in the evening, so it seemed that both the waiters and the bartender were tired and a little dissatisfied, but the place is good)

Very conveniently located: 15 minutes walk from the train station, in the walking area. I liked the interior very much: classic with minimalism, calm colors, elegant but not garish, decoration for the New Year holidays. The food is very tasty, not spicy, the chefs are professionals: soups, snacks, hot dishes, desserts. Wine list, homemade lemonades, fruit drinks, in general, a full range. The staff is very friendly, attentive and unobtrusive. The furniture is comfortable. There is a bar in the hall. Mulled wine is strong, not the usual "compote". What they couldn't eat, they took with them. We were there twice, very satisfied. The only thing is to put enough time for lunch: you will not be able to eat quickly, or check the cooking time with the waiter. It took me an hour and a half to have a full lunch, if not in a hurry, then two. Payment by mir was successful, tips can also be paid from the card in a separate payment in the absence of cash.

I was very upset by the long wait for pancakes with salmon, we waited 45 minutes (we were not warned about this, and the landing was not 100%), and most importantly, the child was waiting. We were in a cafe on the evening of May 2, 23rd. The street is very busy, the cafes are full of people. But only one table is occupied in Fanny's house. We had dinner with the family in a calm atmosphere, but we did not appreciate the cuisine. All the dishes did not make an impression (we took baked Eggplant, carbonara, pancakes with salmon and chicken liver pate). The service is also not very good. For example, the waiters do not know that they need to offer guests a bag stand, and also that it is customary to eat carbonara using a spoon. Well, in general, the attentiveness of the waiters is at zero. We wasted the evening on this place.

The drinks in the restaurant are excellent, they took a couple of lemonades, the food was also excellent, they took liver and borscht. But there is a caveat.
Borscht about 15 minutes later, on the way, dipping bread and a basket into it, and put it on the table. And then an HOUR later they brought the liver to his wife. I'm not exaggerating, it's been 50-something minutes since I was served borscht. Naturally, I didn't start until my wife's food was brought out.
The waiter did not specify the order of serving, did not warn about the waiting time, did not apologize, although we clarified several times how soon the liver would be and she saw that the borscht was untouched. And, of course, she didn't ask for feedback when we left.

A pretentious establishment...There is a lot of advertising on the Internet, but there is no history of why this name was taken, what the Bravermans and mistress Fani were doing. It is a pity that a lot of money and time of design thought is thrown at promotion, but there is no foundation (history). Visually, everything is decorated in classic restrained tones. In my opinion, the marble bar counter is a dubious solution, but I don't want him to know better. And the sea of bottles on the table is out of place. The waitresses are very fast and helpful. It is not convenient to sit at another table, come with a child here is a child seat for you :).The work of the kitchen is a separate story, Michelin stars would be given without hesitation, the duck is lovely, Iceberg lettuce (Caesar) is super, you can lick your fingers with poultry steak, grilled vegetables are gorgeous.
