I have been living in Minsk for 23 years, and I visited the Palace of the Republic for the first time: I attended a concert of the symphony orchestra - melodies from Disney cartoons and Soyuzmultfilm. The hall is very large, and I liked the sound too. There are a lot of food and drink outlets, I didn't look at the prices, but it's probably expensive. In the lobby, I liked the models of Belarusian equipment, MAZ, BELAZ, Amkodor, etc. I don't know if a small parking lot can be attributed to the disadvantages, after all, the very center of the city, hardly would have allocated space for many cars.In many ways, I don't like the appearance of the palace, I've gotten used to it and I don't pay attention.

The impression of the concert is generally good, I especially liked the second movement.
But ... alas..the buffet failed , namely the lack of assortment in it , empty shelves in the windows on the counter ... and this is in the Palace of the Republic ? It's even a shame. No cakes for coffee..Is it really difficult to prepare in advance for the large flow of concert visitors and think over the assortment of Belarusian sweets for sale at the buffet? If the situation does not change, next time we will add photos of empty display cases on the counter.
There were also not enough tables and chairs ...
And another big disadvantage is toilets without toilets, women in evening dresses are extremely uncomfortable, splashes, splashes ...
But the New Year's decoration in the palace was gorgeous, thanks to everyone who made this beauty.

Everything is at a high level. The New Year's performance was great. The only thing that didn't fit into the entourage were the sellers of popcorn, drinks, and toys. Not only were the prices too high, but they were sold only for cash. I think the Palace of the Republic is not the place where you can sell like that. You can sort out the sale somehow. A large wardrobe divided into many zones, which reduces the likelihood of queues next to it. A large, spacious and cozy hall with a wonderful view.

We visited Sergey Lazarev's concert 5.10. The Palace of the Republic is beautiful! A monumental building, powerful. Wonderful interior, everything is logically located. The seats are comfortable, there is enough space between the rows to sit comfortably, a buffet, escalators, the climate system copes.
Very good sound. Lazarev is incomparable!!!

I was with the children at the main Christmas Tree of the country, decorations, costumes, etc. everything is cool. But the performance itself is full of noise, not interesting at all, the sound is on record, a lot of people on stage are not clear who is speaking and at what point, everything is somehow unnatural, the plot is confusing and uninteresting. And it's not the first time we've been going, and it's always such nonsense.
We've been to several other performances in other theaters, so it's much cheaper there and the performance is much more interesting and you watch it in one go.

I participated in a concert here. There is a complete maze below, from the dressing room to the hall to walk the first time you need to be an orienteering champion. The concert participants were not allowed to use elevators, they had to run up the stairs, and if they also turned onto the wrong stairs ..)) A cafe was open on the day of rehearsals, but on the day of the concert you could only buy drinks there.
Otherwise, it was fine, there were no special problems, there were still very, very many of us, so everyone did not have enough rooms next to the hall, and so they practically sat on top of each other. It's just strange that the first numbers were placed further than the last ones, and people with instruments had to run through underground labyrinths when the choreography was sitting literally at the other end of the corridor from the hall. Maybe there was some logic in this, but I personally did not see it))

We attended two New Year's performances in a small hall and a large one. I liked the little one more, it was very sincere, funny and the acting at the highest level (I especially liked Baba Yaga and the Crow). In the great hall, the performance is large-scale, bright, and modern. The toilets really spoiled the impression - holes in the floor, there are no toilets. The halls are beautifully decorated, there are photo zones.
