The place of the historical events of the two world wars. The fort occupies a commanding height convenient for viewing the surroundings. As a result of the assaults, the fort suffered quite a lot. You can say, to the state of ruins. A pile of fragments of concrete shelters of enormous thickness, which evoke respect for the work and engineering skills of military builders, who, without special means of mechanization, removed a fairly significant amount of soil from the hill and produced a huge amount of concrete and formwork work.

Good day.The place of heroic defense of our bridgehead on the banks of the Neman.Heroes from the shores of Angara from Irkutsk laid their heads at the liberation of Belarus. They called fire on themselves twice.Everyone died , but they completed the task.Let's be worthy of our ancestors.I definitely recommend it.Lenochka liked it.Be careful on the ruins, the view from them is amazing!!!

A very atmospheric place! I advise you to visit. You can wander around, it is located in a very picturesque place. Keep in mind that the fortress has been destroyed, that is, you come to the ruins, but this is no less interesting. It is better to read the story about the first fort in advance, it will be clearer in the place what is what.

A very interesting place for those who love History. A lot of rowan trees have grown in the cracks of the walls, there are a lot of strawberries on the slopes: it's like a memorial berry in that place.
In general, these Defensive Forts are strange structures: like a trap, in my subjective opinion.

It's a very impressive place. Everything looks much smaller in the photo than in reality. In fact, there are many concrete blocks 3-4 meters thick. Even when blown up, the fort is striking in its scale

Hello guys, I've been wanting to visit here for a long time. I finally got out on a trip, I really liked it. The fortress was built 110 years ago and subsequently blown up. A monumental structure for its time, most likely it was impregnable,

Picturesque ruins of fortifications from the time of the 1st World War. The view is monumental , but it is difficult to understand the purpose.
In 1944, soldiers of one of the regiments of the Red Army held the defense here. An obelisk at the base of the fortifications is dedicated to their feat.
There is a country road leading to the fort. In May, we drove by minibus without any problems.

The fort itself, a pile of rubble. There's nothing to do at the top, and I don't advise you to waste your energy climbing to the top) There are faults about ten meters deep.. It's dangerous, take care of your loved ones. But it's worth stopping by, we met a herd of roe deer, it was fun to watch them, so I don't recommend speeding up after we left the road.

It's an interesting place, it's not difficult to get to it. If you arrange a "tour of the forts of Grodno" then everything is quite compact from each other. The ads don't recommend looking inside, but the powder cellar is worth a look.

It's a psychologically difficult place.
Be careful. There are many faults that you can fall into. The depth is crazy.
One of the disadvantages is the road. First there were signs, then they disappeared. Then the road ended. All that's left is the primer in the field.
It looks like a monument, but it's problematic to get there.

Yandex perfectly brings you to the exit from the highway. Then it gets stupid. And the fort is still about 5km away. We found him somehow. And the guys from St. Petersburg turned around and left for Grodno. There is little left of the fort, In 1915 the fort was blown up. We chose the place for construction very competently, the area is perfectly visible. The ruins give an idea of the fort. The moat has been preserved. The line of trenches in front of the moat has been preserved. You can climb inside the fort at your own risk. Inside, carefully, there is an unfenced elevator shaft, 10 meters high, in short, deep... In front of the fort there is a memorial in memory of the soldiers of the Soviet army who died in 1944.
