The museum is quite expensive, and what's inside it doesn't justify the price. Most pictures are of minor artists that followed some European artistic currents without being noticed. There are very few painting masterpieces, some of the sculptures are somewhat more noteworthy. Probably most of the money are for the building that looks recently renovated. Though I didn't appreciate the entrance to the galleries which resembles going into a cage. Not a great experience.

A wonderful museum, a very extensive exposition representing all facets of fine art of Georgia from the 1960s to the present. Very interesting artists and a huge variety of styles.
The exposition is spread over three floors in a very large number of halls, at least 2-3 hours, if you do not look very carefully and selectively.

I love it! Every visit to Tbilisi is a must-see on the traveling designer's list) the first thing that impresses is the architectural solution - like the facade with the most gorgeous perspective galleries on both sides and the magical variation of the Notre Dame gargoyle- the eagle above the main entrance, the staircase is generally my LOVE) a whole mountain of glass and the hooliganism of engineering.
I will keep silent about the four floors of the most diverse works of art, it all needs to be FELT) …
And then, enjoy fragrant coffee with delicious treats in the art cafe, in winter- inside- with a view of the parliament, and in summer- from the temple... yes, yes, I've been there 5 times out of 5) and it's worth it.
