I visited the library at the end of 2019 I'm surprised by the scope and the open pass.. No need to go through the guards. There's something to register somewhere, you just come in and no one bothers you. You can spend time freely, from work to conversations, and even play games. There is a cafe. If you are from Russia, then be sure to visit to understand what a library of the 21st century is, what it should be like now in order to attract readers.

A very stylish and convenient library. There are cafes, play areas, meeting rooms. There is a lot of light. You can just sit and charge your phone. A pleasant place in the heart of the city.

Finally, I visited the well-known library of the Oodi. It is located in the center of Helsinki, attracts with its unusual shape. It is more interesting to tourists because it is not just a library in the traditional sense, but a kind of leisure center. Here you can just meet a friend and spend time, you can print something on a 3D printer, use a sewing machine, a computer, some music systems (I'm far from that), you can spend time with young children in the play area, and so on. Activities for children are often held. We were at Robotics today. It's all free. There is a cafe and a canteen. It sounds good, but it's the same in many Finnish libraries. It seemed gloomy and crowded to me in the office, the playroom is not so cozy, the only entertainment is books and stairs, there are usually also soft bricks and rocking chairs. There is a buffet lunch in the dining room at an affordable price (13 euros) and it looks delicious, but I didn't see anything for the children there, so we didn't eat there. The cafeteria is cramped. It's a hundred times better with children in the library in Espoo at the LippuLaiva shopping center.

Computers, 3D printers, musical instruments, soldering stations, sewing machines, laser engravers, large-format plotters, game consoles. This is not a complete list of what you can use there for free. Well, there is also free Wi-Fi and a toilet. :) And near the train station.

A must-visit! Free, modern, chic reading room, interesting architecture and a divine view from the window. Especially with children - a huge selection of children's books (you can see pictures), a bunch of free workshops, a play area. A very, very, very cool library!

Great place. Admission is free. There are cafes on the first and third floors. It 's fashionable to take a book and read with a view of the city . Books in open access on shelves in a variety of languages. I had a great time there while waiting for the bus.

Awesome a great place to work is cozy, quiet. The only drawback is that there are few outlets for recharging a smartphone or laptop

3 floors, lots of places for communication, joint activities, games, there is a place to eat. A super space for young people and not only. There is literature in Russian - you can read on the 3rd floor, comfortably sitting in a soft pouf.. . 5 points!

A great place for a cultural pastime. I recommend at least just going in and watching or showing it to children or adults. In addition to the library, there is something to see.
