There is a legend that the Virgin Mary lived her last years in this house. It is also said that after visiting this place, people are healed. Nearby there is a spring and a kind of "wailing wall".
To be honest, I couldn't help but think that everything was done to attract tourists, because admission costs a lot of money. And, accordingly, it brings a good income!
Perhaps someone really felt the changes in their life after visiting this place. I won't deny it. It's probably a matter of faith!

If possible, be sure to visit! There have been various pontiffs in this house many times! The visit is not large and the guards begin to speed up the pilgrims if you arrive as part of an excursion. We were lucky, we arrived by our own transport and were able to stay longer and get acquainted in peace!

Maria's house is not far from Ephesus, literally 2-3 km, but you can't walk from Ephesus. A small house that now acts as a temple, candles can be placed there, entrance to the territory is paid, it costs, if memory serves me correctly, 6 euros per adult, children under 8 years old enter for free. We took a taxi there from Ephesus. It's nice there, the place is small, 30 minutes is enough to visit.

The road is really picturesque, you can only get there by car, taxi, but today they asked me for 1,120 lira with parking for two, at a rate of 2.7, that is, more than 3,000 rubles!
The price is constantly growing, 3 months ago it was 600.
There are only 30 liras for the locals. It's better not to come here. I tried to get around on foot, where the guards immediately track and do not let me in.

You can put a candle, leave a note on the wall of desires (grab a piece of paper, a pen and a string (there is a grid on the wall of desires to fix the leaf), collect holy water (also take the container in advance). The road to the place is very picturesque.

It is not canonical, but a very revered and visited place. The place where, according to legend, the Virgin spent her last years of life. The house was not preserved and was built again in the original architectural style.
There are a lot of tourists, there is a souvenir shop and a cafe. Beautiful nature in the area. A good road to the place.

A small three-room house where the Virgin Mary (sort of) lived. It's not a very remarkable building. It is clear that it was restored and it is being monitored, but for me it was possible to put a museum or an exposition or something else next to it... otherwise it turns out that the time spent inside is 3 minutes and that's it. There are not very many people. You can't take pictures inside, and, to be honest, there's not much. It's funny that next to it you can drink and get clean cold water. There is a wall where you can make a wish. 5 stars, taking into account the informational significance and the venerable age of the building.
