I lived nearby, so I couldn't help but look in. What can I say, they invite me from the doorstep (as well as everywhere else), I looked into the showcase with fresh fish (on ice), none of the fish caught my eye (I can't say that the second freshness, but alas, not just from the longboat). The only thing I really wanted was an octopus on the grill (probably, this was the reason for the visit), and I took it. And at the same time, I asked for a meat menu - it's there too (but they bring it on request, a kind of laminated sheet, like in inexpensive cafes). A bunch of starters were brought along with the menu, but firstly, I first study the menu at the entrance, and more or less understand what I want and what I don't want, and secondly, all this starter menu is not a compliment from the institution, and such a meze may not be cheap in itself, despite the fact that you maybe they didn't want him. In short, I had to give up quickly, as well as wine (expensive and not impressed). Service - three waiters, not young, one of whom is kind of at the table, and two are kind of helping, working quickly and professionally (one feels inner pride). I took a tomato salad (one large one, sliced with onions and peppers, but very large) - it turned out to be an amateur, a salad of greens / tomatoes / cucumbers - I liked this salad, actually "octopus" (aka the tentacle of an octopus on the grill) - I did not experience puppy delight - it was a little soft (it was not caught in this the same day and was most likely frozen), the meat steak is normal, but the roasting is uneven (one side is bloody, the other is dry), the chicken kebab is good, and I washed it all down with beer. Efes is normal. In total, it cost more than four thousand lira or $ 125 (and yes, keep in mind that in this institution the change from dollars will be in lira), which, frankly, is not cheap (there is something to compare). I'm not sure if it was worth it, but for me it's more of an experience, there are a lot of places nearby, including those about fish.
Basically, if you live nearby and $150-200 for a standard lunch (without gastronomy, just to eat) is normal for you, then you can take a look, and then the decision is yours.

Mediocre cuisine, mediocre serving. By Istanbul standards, the price is above the average of a good-quality restaurant. They specialize in seafood, but 80% of the dishes are seasonal.
