I visited this cafe on December 31, 2024. On this day, my wife and I visited Tskhinvali as tourists. By two o'clock in the afternoon , we were very hungry . We usually search for cafes based on ratings and reviews on the Internet. This time we did exactly the same thing.
In the reviews, one of the visitors wrote that it is not easy to find a cafe. In fact , it turned out that way . The establishment is located in an alley . You can get there only by going around the house from the back , passing before that through a narrow passage between the buildings . There are no signs or signs at all . We were lucky to have someone to ask where it is .
Looking ahead, I'll tell you about the food . Everything turned out better than I expected. Khinkali is big, juicy and very tasty. If I'm writing about this, then it's logical to assume that my health is fine too. And I consider the quality of food to be the main parameter for any catering establishment.
Serving the dish will be unusual for a resident of the European part of the country. You may have heard about a beautiful pitch here , but not everyone considers it necessary . In the Caucasus, this is universally considered the norm. At the same time, it creates a sense of something homely.
The highlight of this cafe is the atmosphere , which has remained unchanged decades later. Chanson and other music from the past are playing inside the restaurant. The interior is mostly shabby . There are partitions with a screen between the tables . Such cafes remained only in the memories of my distant childhood.
A very important factor is that the cafe is popular among locals. I was convinced of this when I was waiting for my order and before my eyes the locals came in one after another to take several dozen khinkali.
In conclusion, I would like to pay special attention to Caucasian hospitality. I want to remind you that we were in this wonderful place on December 31, a few hours before the New Year. At this time, there is a lot of work in all cafes and basically all the work is reduced only to issuing orders. I was personally convinced of this when I returned to Vladikavkaz on the same day .

A Soviet oriental eatery where you can see an untidy table, burnt chairs, but there is a big BUT. For the sake of such khinkali, you can go here every day. Delicious, juicy, large (5 pieces per eye). And most importantly, it is not expensive, 40 re. piece. Salad, lemonade, beer always.

The Khinkali are huge, they barely managed together!!! The filling is excellent, delicious, the juice in each khinkali is half a glass!!! And most importantly, it is inexpensive.

Khinkali is delicious! And it's really the size of a fist! We didn't believe the reviews and took too much)) 3 pcs for myself, 4 for my husband. Barely mastered, leaving the tails and part of the dough. Count your strength!)
Only khinkali is cooked here. If desired, you can take a glass of sour cream. It's greasy, it's worth a spoon! Delicious. And lemonade is also offered

The place is non-touristic) as well as Tskhinval in general. The locals are having lunch. The institution itself is not for lovers of beauty and pathos. Time has stopped right here)
Khinkali is delicious, I repeat. There is a lot of juice inside, the dough is also delicious, elastic. The meat is fragrant, with the addition of coriander and spices. The aunts of the employee are friendly and so pleased that people like their Khinkali!

It's a curious place. It was not easy to find) The menu includes only khinkali, sour cream and soda. Khinkali are huge! Really! We barely ate 5 pieces with my husband. The situation of the Soviet times. The price is 40 rubles per piece. We were not completely delighted, but it's worth visiting the place.

Very tasty khinkali, just incredible. The freshest products are very tasty meat, a lot of broth. We stayed at the Iriston hotel and just ordered delivery and of course did not regret it, everything was brought by the agreed time. Thanks also to the hotel staff for serving us a table with the delivered khinkali .

I wanted to put 4, because we couldn't offer anything except hinkals. No salads, no sauce. But the taste, size and price compensated for this disadvantage, but I recommend fixing it in the future. At least offer sour cream. It was very tasty, thank you.
