A very local, authentic Georgian place. Delicious food. I didn't like the kebab very much, a lot of fat, and the rest of the dishes are amazing: red wine, eggplant with garlic, khinkali is super. The service is very pleasant! The women are very good, they work there and smile at everyone, the friendliness is maximum. The prices are absolutely adequate for the amount of food we ordered. We found an institution based on reviews on the Internet, pleasant staff, delicious food. The design of the place looks like an innkeeper, not a restaurant, the menu is in a file, but the cuisine is delicious. The staff speaks Russian, good service, we didn't wait for food for a long time. We ordered trout stuffed with suluguni and walnuts, and brought a whole fish generously stuffed. It is very tasty and unusual. We took a veal kebab, tender, not fatty meat. And pork ojahuri, the pork was fat. But as I understand it, all pork dishes in Georgia are fatty. Plus lemonade and beer to order. It cost all 64 lari. They were found, because the portions were good.

I wonder why the place is called khinkalnaya, if there are only 2! types of khinkali: beef and pork. That's all. Basement, wooden tables, smells of cigarettes, uncomfortable and noisy. We went in, sat down, waited, waited, and no one came up, the waiters just looked at each other, chatted among themselves, but did nothing, and so on for 10 minutes. The landing is almost complete, but you can see that you just don't care. Then they brought the menu, and when they saw that there were only two types of hinkali, and even with such an attitude, and they would definitely cook for another 40 minutes, they spat and left. I have no desire to recommend this place. It definitely can't be called khinkalnaya, an ordinary Georgian cafe like everywhere else.

Wonderful cafe! There are almost no empty seats, and it's clear why. My friend and I were alone on the recommendation of fellow travelers. The food is delicious, the choice of dishes is large, the portions are huge. We ate too much. Everything was very tasty. The service is fast, despite the full boarding. A great place, not only tourists eat here, but also locals! A democratic cafe in the very center, everything is clean, attentive and fast service. The menu is varied, the food is very tasty!!! I was here in 2015 and in 2023 - I was satisfied both times. Khinkali are canonical, they sell from 10 pieces. The salad with nuts is perfect and the portion is large, and costs about 10 lari. It took about 15 minutes from the order to the delivery, and this is with a full landing at lunchtime. I think it's one of the best cafes where we ate.

All the days spent in Tbilisi, we had dinner at this place. In particular, we were here during the May "events". There are a lot of locals and tourists, the atmosphere is very friendly. The menu is literally on one A4 sheet, but it is enough to immerse yourself and fall in love with the Georgian colorful cuisine. The prices, by the way, are very affordable. Based on the excellent rating, we chose this place to enjoy Georgian cuisine. Everything was cooked very quickly. But... unfortunately, of all that was on our table, only Natakhtari lemonade can be called delicious... We ordered ojahuri with chicken. The chicken was fat, the potatoes were fat. No trace of Georgian spices. It was very salty. We ordered "Georgian bread" from the menu, which turned out to be yesterday's hard pita bread. The pork kebab turned out to be ordinary meat fried in a frying pan. The smell was disgusting, the meat was not chewed. In general, if you want to try real Georgian cuisine, then you definitely are not here. There was only lemonade from Georgian.

The place is often sold out: a queue of people on the street, sweating waiters. For me, going to a restaurant/cafe means sitting slowly, drinking wine, eating, talking, drinking coffee. Unfortunately, it's hard to do this here because you can see firsthand the queue of people and how the waiters are running around the hall hurriedly delivering orders. I wanted to leave this institution immediately, but my family asked me to give them a "chance" because the reviews on the Internet were very good. As a result, we took a Georgian salad (tomatoes were not edible, Kakheti oil was not felt at all) and khinkali from beef (the dough was not bad, there was little filling). There is no interior, it looks like a standard eatery, the service is terrible (plates are not put on, but thrown on the table)… I will not come to this institution anymore. Khinkali was very tasty in Tsiskvili - the service there is excellent and clean and delicious. Therefore, whoever chooses a place to "eat khinkali" - I recommend another place.
