an incredible view of the whole of Almaty opens from the observation deck, but I advise you to visit in the evening when the whole city is illuminated! There is a good karaoke on the mountain itself and a very affordable restaurant!

The tallest TV tower (1,452 m above sea level). A cable car stretches to its foot, but you can also climb on your own (on foot, by bus, by taxi). The height of the structure itself is 371 meters.
Upstairs there is a small amusement park, a Ferris wheel, observation decks, catering. A good place to meet the sunset. But it's very crowded on a fine day off.

It's just a beautiful place with views of the mountains and the city, yes, there is a TV tower here, but you don't pay much attention to it when you're at its foot. There are a lot of tourists, this undoubtedly adds to the entourage. It is very inconvenient to get there, as for me, there is a straight road along the cable car, but if you do not want to ride it because you are afraid of heights (do not trust the reliability of the structure), you want to walk or just do not want to spend money, then I hasten to upset you, other paths lead to one place, and in order to to get there, you will have to make a big detour, on foot this will be another test, because you will have to climb up after this hook, and if you are by car, it will not be particularly difficult, of course, you can also take a bus to get closer, but here I can not help, because on it there I didn't get there. I also note that there are enough souvenir shops here, there are both bad and good quality, however, here as you are lucky. There is a cafe, not cheap, which is expected, a bread place after all. There is something to entertain yourself a little, these are shooting galleries (with plastic balls, I would not advise, because they change the flight path from low speed, weight and shape), fear rooms, etc. But if you came with friends purely to see what is there and how, while you do not want to buy anything or occupy yourself with attractions, then, in my opinion, there is nothing to do there, just take a look at the mountains and the city once.

Moreover, there, if you go to the left in front of the barrier through all the parking lots and keep to the right, you will see a new pedestrian path. It is landscaped with benches, booing, and CCTV cameras. You will climb this new path without much difficulty, to the very mountain of Kok Tube, and along the path you will admire the beauty of our city!

The place in Almaty is within walking distance. You can get to the barrier and then walk uphill. You will pass the observation deck and in general you will have a view of Almaty, I recommend it in the late afternoon. If you want to save money and like to walk, I advise you to immediately go to the barrier on 95 or 99 buses and climb on foot. The road is beautiful and takes an average of 30-40 minutes.

At that time, annoying photographers were just walking around and a shooting gallery was working. They couldn't get to the TV tower and the observation deck at all, because everything was dug up there and some work was going on. The view of the city is, of course, beautiful, but you can't look at the mountains at all, even in cloudless weather. The same photographers and merchants with their buildings are blocking the trees…
I hope it's just our bad luck, and at other times there is something to do and see.

A mainstream location for tourists. It offers a beautiful panorama of the city itself and the ridges of the Trans-Ili Alatau. There are a lot of activities upstairs (most for children), souvenir shops, there is a mini zoo (mostly birds here, but if you suddenly have never seen geese in your life, you will come in). The easiest way to get there is by cable car, but you can also climb on foot. Despite the modest size, the place is good, if you are in Almaty for the first time, be sure to visit Koktobe, the main thing is to guess the time of day and the weather, a lot depends on it. Every time I visit Almaty, I come here.

I want the place to develop and become comfortable for all Almaty residents to spend a long time, and not noisy, cluttered with attractions, fences, shops and merchants in a cramped market. At this rate, this wonderful area will soon turn into another shopping and entertainment center.
There are not enough thoughtful and diverse recreation areas where you can enjoy the views of the city, sit / sunbathe, walk along different paths between trees, lie on the lawn, preferably in silence. I want to show this place to visitors and enjoy myself, returning there again and again.
Now, Kok-Tobe looks like a bustling market in fences, from which the last juices are squeezed. We need renovation and a comfortable ecological environment with care for visitors, for which all residents and guests of Almaty will definitely thank you.
