The Kovcheg Cafe is a wonderful place! I liked it very much. Delicious and inexpensive. I enjoyed the Belarusian dish "Potato grandmother". The cafe is spacious, beautiful and cozy. Stylishly decorated!
The cafe is located in the Kovcheg spiritual and educational center on the territory of the Minsk St. Elizabeth Monastery. I was there during the Christmas Fast and noticed that, in addition to lean dishes, you could also choose meat food. I think that's wise. After all, everyone goes here. Fasting is good and useful for a person who lives the church life; it is one of the elements of the church life. It makes no sense to demand strict observance of all church posts from a person who is far from the Church or someone who is just starting to take the first steps in the Church.

It's an amazing place! It's very atmospheric and calm. Visitors who have come to have a delicious meal are not in a hurry, they do not talk loudly. The menu is quite diverse (I don't know who found the assortment meager from the reviews below, but I really wonder where you eat in this case?). There is a lean menu, the food is fresh and delicious. I will not lower the rating, but this is the second time the side dish is cold, do not skimp on heating. The room is huge, there are enough places even for lunch. There are no queues. The price is generally "pennies".

A good place) there are areas for entertaining children: the Batleika theater, origami, a mini-museum of Belarusian life on the 4th floor, a concert hall and an exhibition of the creation of the Ark on the 3rd floor, a cafe is located on the 2nd (there is a lot of space, it's cozy enough, it's nice to be here). It is a very modern Orthodox center, which has invested a lot of material resources. Everything is well done, thoroughly, aesthetically pleasing, Every detail supports the concept of the ark, a lot of natural wood, ceramics, mosaics. There are cafes with slightly higher budget prices. There is its own theater, a conference hall where famous psychologists give lectures; exhibitions of artists are regularly held on the third floor.
I was struck by the storefronts on the ground floor, in which installations of the life of Jesus were created with modern materials, but without violating the traditions of icon painting. Even an unscrupulous person should see this. This is a truly inspiring center, if not for faith, then for impressions and art.

A very cozy, spacious, modern cultural center.
Orthodox and non-Orthodox alike feel good here. A space of spiritual and cultural growth, creativity, communication, enlightenment, beauty, kindness and love. Recently we visited this exhibition and cultural center "Ark" at the St. Elizabeth Monastery. I myself participated a little in the construction and design of the complex about five years ago) Wonderful architecture, spaciousness, beautiful and rich interior. A very pleasant and spiritual place! On the ground floor there is an art gallery, an exhibition of paintings by the famous artist Zhigimont was held. On the second floor there is an excellent spacious fast food restaurant with a large assortment of dishes and drinks. Here in the Ark you will be able to enlighten yourself spiritually, a concert hall will soon be opened and at the same time have a delicious and inexpensive snack! I recommend you to visit, it is especially important that St. Elisavetinsky Monastery is a huge spiritual and educational complex near the center of Minsk, where you can walk, be alone with yourself next to the greatness of Orthodox churches, monasteries, churches and pray!

But what we saw (a foyer with a mini waterfall from the ceiling, a cafe-bistro) and, in general, the interior and elevators are decorated in the same style, judging by which the building belongs to the monastery, which is located nearby.

What can I say. I went to this cafe several times. And every subsequent time is one disappointment.
I'll start with the pros right away: a beautiful and cozy interior, there is a children's room, pleasant and good-natured attendants are engaged with the children there.
The food is not bad either, but...in my opinion, it is expensive for such a cafe (even in a pit stop or a Lido, in my opinion, it is cheaper).
That is, if you take meat, soup, side dish, salad, and even dessert with the whole family, then this will result in a very tidy sum.
Explain to me : 2.70 rubles per 100g of mashed potatoes is normal and it is by weight, and if you weigh more, respectively, you will pay more, i.e. 3-4 rubles for mashed potatoes is this normal?
Then the soup....4 rubles pickle... it seems to be nothing, but it's only half a plate and no one will pour you more and yes sour cream to a pickle of 1 rub (it's just a spoon in the soup).
Meat and fish are expensive.
Salads are not cheap.
And the distribution is not organized yet, you can stand in line for your lunch for a long time, and then just as long at the checkout (because one cashier serves, and the second one goes somewhere) and your not cheap food just gets cold and becomes not tasty....
Just want to express the opinion of an ordinary average Belarusian who I came with my family to have a snack after church, but the prices are absolutely not democratic.
I eat a lot of places, in different establishments, both more expensive and cheaper, and I can definitely say that the prices in this institution are very high.
And to be honest, there are many questions, because this is a church institution.... Why is it so expensive? Why rip off your parishioners?
And by the way, I started going there and as soon as it opened, then the prices were good, affordable, I even recommended it to my friends. But then they began to increase very significantly and now I understand that I would rather go to some cafe with my family than go there - it will be cheaper.
What I want to say.... be customer-oriented and at least in dishes such as potato soup and other budget items, just don't rip off your customers. After all, everyone has a different income.

First of all, I would like to note that the cafe itself is made of high-quality materials, spacious and quite bright. The food is close to homemade. The first, the second and the compote. Good pies. Everything is quite tasty (I'm talking about my taste preferences. )
On average, about 15-20.0 rubles (first, second and salad). The choice is varied.
High-quality and budget food is a feature of this establishment.
I recommend you to try it.
I thank everyone who made this cafe and wish you to keep it like this for as long as possible.

Ark Coffee is a great place. You enter the room, and you realize that your place is cozy, warm, inexplicable energy. The food is very tasty, I don't even know which dish can be distinguished from the proposed one. What is especially important for me and my daughter is lean meals (even outside of fasting). I'm sharing my impressions after today's breakfast. The tasting began with ham-cheese pancakes: the cheapest, not tasty ham and cheese mass inside in the form of some kind of mousse.
I thought that with cottage cheese they would smooth out the impression, but NO. The pancake itself smells like onions, cottage cheese can have 1% fat content and the most disgusting thing is a huge swollen raisins in the trash. For a moment, the cost of one serving of vomit ham-cheese is -4 rrrr!
I'm waiting for an independent inspection to descend on this institution and see what's going on there at the cooking stage.
There has already been an incident with cutlets under the cute name "like Mom's" with spoiled meat disguised with spices. A technologist came out to soak and threw me the cost of this rotten cutlet!
Well, the service: you approach the cashier - and the cashier is having conversations with a bar employee - what kind of Service is this, I said hello three times, but there was zero reaction. Many stars have been guided by the respected workers of the Ark! You will even have a lot of one! Next time you screw up - only a review will not do!!!
