The long-suffering Belarus was not spared by any of the great wars in Europe. Being in its geographical center, Belarus has always found itself in the epicenter of military events. The Mound of Glory is a monument from the Soviet era, laid in the late 60s of the last century in memory of the Minsk Cauldron, the battle of the Great Patriotic War, in which a 150,000-strong army of fascists was encircled. Returning from Khatyn, where we were on an excursion, we stopped at the Kurgan, went upstairs, examined, and the children also toured the exhibits of military equipment, had coffee in a cafe. Those who love the history of their country should visit here.

It's a very impressive place! There is a beautiful view from the very top. However, some people are afraid to climb the stairs without a handrail, as if floating. But everyone should visit this place. They say it's very beautiful in the dark.

We were here after the reconstruction . A magnificent, atmospheric place. We were with the children in the evening, the view is breathtaking, the backlight creates a feeling of unreality, here thoughts fly far away, somehow by themselves you think about the meaning and transience of life, about the happiness of not knowing the war. We try to inform children about the feat of our people, I am proud that we have such places. Convenient Parking, illuminated photo booth, benches - everything is made for people.

I've wanted to come here for a long time and we got here.
The only thing that hurt was that there was a restoration and it didn't work out..
But you could see the Mound itself and its greatness. As well as memorial plaques with the history of the foundation.
We also walked along the beautiful alley and looked at the equipment.
In principle, everything is very cool and beautiful. The mound is high and majestic

The memorial complex, which must be visited, is very large-scale. Landscaped area. Good parking and an exhibition of military equipment (tanks, aircraft, train).

A good complex. Compared to childhood memories, everything is completely different. Everything is well maintained, the territory is excellent, the exposition, further work is underway. It's a pity the cafe is under renovation and the coin vending machine does not work. So there's still a trip to be!

We decided to stop by to see if anything has changed after a couple of years? The result is that everything has become much better and more beautiful! But there are also disadvantages, these are the toilets, they were in such a terrible condition that it is impossible to even describe! I do not know what people ate, but it is generally trash, I will not describe in detail.
I rate the mound itself at 5 stars.

Very well equipped, but not for those who are afraid of heights). There is an open-air museum of military equipment nearby. Fountain, benches: you can relax and enjoy nature. However, the fountain in our presence was very dirty and the pool bowl was slippery: the children tried to walk around, but it didn't work out) Nearby there are coffee shops and cafes where you can have a snack or buy water and ice cream 🍦

At the time of arrival on 04/29/2024, the territory where military equipment stands was being equipped, tiles were being laid. It will be even more beautiful and convenient. "Why don't people fly like birds..." I thought, going upstairs. Happy upcoming Victory Day, friends!

A gorgeous place! We counted 241 steps, it's a bit difficult to climb up and it's scary to go down, but it's worth it, there's a very strong wind at the top, so it's better to cover your ears and tie your hair! The view is gorgeous, but I wanted there to be stair railings, because it's scary

The complex is interesting not only as a monument to the Great Patriotic War, but also as the object itself, for the construction of which land was brought from all cities where heavy fighting took place. the number of steps corresponds to the number of WWII days.

A neat and well-maintained territory. There are several tanks where children like to climb and take pictures. Excellent views open from the mound. When there are no organized groups, it is not crowded at the top. I advise people who are afraid of heights not to visit this memorial. There are shops near the non-working fountain. There is a cafe and a toilet. There is a fairly large parking lot.

Oh, what it took for me to climb with my fear of heights, but it was worth it. Stairs require reconstruction and, of course, without fences it is very difficult and scary to go up and down. But very beautiful, very strong. A great place.

A touching monument is a Stella in the name of Victory. The path is not very many steps around the mound.
In the middle of May, there is a wonderful view from above of a bright yellow rapeseed field nearby.

Effectively in the dark. Some steps leave much to be desired - they are failed, of different sizes. The backlight is not working. And most importantly - where are the railings?!?! Children run back and forth, who goes down, who goes up, one wrong step, a gust of wind - lost balance and fall!
The view from above is good, no more.
I liked the illuminated fountains and the alley with light banners.

It's a great place. It has changed a lot lately. It is very suitable for families with children. In the evening, they turn on the light in the fountain, it looks great. The technique can be viewed, touched, and even climbed on it and photographed. There is an excellent cafe, always fresh pastries, delicious coffee/tea, etc

The monument is certainly beautiful, everything is well maintained and cleaned, except for the steps to the mound. Gaps in the stairs can sometimes be scary. The views from the mound will appeal to a minimally sophisticated viewer. But overall, it's not bad.

A very famous and beautiful place near Minsk. The Mound of Glory is a monument to the Great Patriotic War, opened in 1969. It was in these places that in July 1944, during the largest offensive operation "Bagration", a 150,000-strong group of Nazi troops was surrounded.

The place is beautiful, but:
- Disgusting toilet - ankle-deep water with urine on the floor everywhere. Is it poorly cleaned? No. It's just that there are holes in the ceramics of Sovdepovskaya in the floor, splashes fly everywhere.
- An uncomfortable cafe with lame service - one girl cashier-salesman-waiter just can't manage. We didn't see any others.
- One bus route (395) per day on weekends - i.e. it is very difficult to get out of the city by public transport.

Nicely. A monument to the sorrow and courage of the people who defeated fascism. Every place and building has a deep meaning. Everyone should come here, especially with children. For an independent visit, it is advisable to stock up on information or take a guide. The tour desk is closed on Monday, but the memorial is open.

Clean, well maintained. The only thing, unfortunately, is the lack of handrails on the stairs on the mound itself, the height is decent, but there is nothing to hold on to. The young will still climb up, but the elderly have a hard time...

How can a simple person, without a personal car and an excursion, get to the Kurgan? It's very difficult. It is necessary to get to the Sloboda bus stop, and then two kilometers along the side of the road to the memorial. Tin!!
