I thought I'd get upset without trying delicious food in Abkhazia, but no, thanks to Yandex))) There are a lot of people, an interesting atmosphere and musical accompaniment, unusual communication of the staff - as if you are a good friend. I join all the laudatory reviews. It's just like that: very tasty, authentic, nimble, responsive staff. We had a rest in Sukhum for the first time, pre-prepared and found 2 more famous restaurants with excellent ratings. So these 2 restaurants disappointed (almost everything that was ordered was not tasty), but the Sauce was not. As delicious as expected. The only drawback is that there are few seats (but here it's a double-edged sword, perhaps if the restaurant accepts more people and the quality of the food drops), there are only 3 tables outside, not much more inside. People are standing on the street, waiting for a table to be available. And this is at the end of September. However, at 19.00 in the evening, maybe not in the afternoon? In general, we also stood, waited, did not wait and ordered with us, ate everything at the hotel, everything is very, very tasty. We waited for the dishes for 25 minutes. Thank you. If we come back, we'll have dinner only with you!

An authentic family cafe. Very friendly staff. The kitchen is on the level. The dishes are mainly local and Caucasian cuisine. Khinkali is excellent. Khachapur boat is super. It's a very beautiful place. While waiting for an order, you can view a carefully assembled collection of antiques. The tables are made of old sewing machines. Located very close to the Botanical Garden and the monkey nursery, it is very convenient, there is enough parking space at the entrance if you are by car. The food is sooooo delicious, served beautifully, according to the setting. In summer, there are practically no empty tables, it is a very popular place. There is a veranda. There are fewer visitors in winter, and an incredibly beautiful Christmas tree with antique glass toys is put up for the new year. In general, be sure to go when you are in Sukhum.

Good day to all and bon appetit in the future!
We decided to walk with my wife through the "iconic" refectory places of Sukhum. Naturally, based on the reviews of experienced tourists. This cafe is the second of such places, and the second one from which we are not particularly enthusiastic. I'm not thrilled, like the majority of people who left reviews about her.
Now everything is in order:
— The cafe, advertised with its Khinkali, did not impress us at all. Veal khinkali, almost no different from pork-beef khinkali, did not have the expected meat flavor. But they had a certain number of veins in the minced meat. In each serving of 3 khinkali, at least one was already full of holes when serving, with the broth leaking into the plate when serving. And the broth in the survivors did not have a fragrant rich taste. The dough turned out to be successful in taste, but I will not praise it, since it tore easily, and the tail remained not at all neat.
— Fried khinkali with cheese turned out to be more successful, even by 5, but as usual, I would like to see greens in products of this type with local cheese, which would make them more fragrant.
— I liked the Sukhum-Shanghai dumplings more than khinkali, they even had a good meat taste and thin dough. However, we disappointed others: the mushrooms promised in the menu, which, as it seemed to us, should be in minced meat, lay in three slices in a plate ..., three cut plates of champignons, Karl!
Now you need to praise:
— The entourage interior attracts, as it should be in such colorful establishments;
— Cleanliness and order are present, which inspires confidence in this institution.
— Alcohol, as I think it should be: produced in Abkhazia, and at quite affordable prices.
— Clean cozy blankets are provided on the veranda for evening feasts.
— The staff is friendly and quite efficient. Serving dishes with an almost full load of the cafe is quite fast.
PS: One toilet is not enough when the cafe is fully loaded: I would just like to wash my hands before eating without much waiting in line for it. A free-standing hand basin would be enough for this purpose.
I didn't take photos, because I come to such places to eat and have a good time, and not post posts. And, most likely, if my impressions of the Muhus cafe had coincided with the general assessment of most visitors, I would not have written a review at all.
***However, the overall impression of the cafe is pleasant, and we will go and eat delicious khinkali in a proven restaurant in St. Petersburg...

Of the cons: a cockroach ran near the kitchen on the way to the bathroom, probably this happens unfortunately in cafes and public catering, the keyword is "probably", the service is "lame". I cannot recommend this place due to these 2 facts.

A restaurant with so many mood-creating details that you can only look around for the first half hour.Both the food and the interior and the staff, everything is at a very good level.We have been here since the opening, prices have changed a little (as everywhere else), but otherwise everything is just as fine. The only thing is that there are a lot more visitors, so there is a queue for tables in the summer season. But it is possible to order a takeaway.Khinkali 50-70 rubles per piece. Chebureks and khachapur are also worth a try. Local lemonades in glass, delicious and inexpensive. In winter, they put up a very beautiful Christmas tree with Soviet toys and it becomes even more cozy.

Various dishes are cooked very tasty, kharcho, dumplings, hinkal (boiled/baked) and the prices are pleasant, and the atmosphere is cool, like in a museum, well done))! For us, Muhus has already become an attraction that we always visit when vacationing in Sukhum.
Khinkali is unrealistically delicious, especially fried. Soups and salads are also a delight, the portions are good. The interior is very interesting, as if you are dining in a small museum. They cook quite quickly, the service is friendly and unobtrusive.
It is worth considering that the cafe is small, and there is always a full boarding during rush hours.
I advise you to come a little earlier. We came for lunch at 12, and for dinner at 18, there was always a place. And literally in 30-40 minutes both the hall and the veranda were packed.

The service is excellent and fast) I read in the reviews that food is quickly brought only to large companies, no it's not like that) we always rest together with my husband and everything is always fine! Today, on 05/14/2024, we visited the Atmospheric institution "Muhus"
in Sukhum.
The interior is very beautiful, there are many statuettes, coinage, antique dishes.
Who goes to Sukhum - visit, you will not regret it.
We were at lunchtime, there weren't many people, the food was fresh and delicious.
We took fried khinkali with cheese and meat, fried Frying Pan at home. (a frying pan is a big word) a frying pan, a small portion, but tasty, The price for it is overpriced.
The Greek salad is so-so, ordinary. In general, the choice of salads is minimal.Khinkali is really awesome, especially with cheese and herbs.
The cafe is in demand among the local population, they take a lot to take away.
I recommend you to visit
RS: the toilet, you go past the kitchen to it, but there was water and light, despite the fact that it was raining heavily.

Interesting interior.
We ate three types of meat khinkali, Sukhumi dumplings, a frying pan with giblets and lavash, and a round khachapur.
Khinkali is OK, the sharpness is in moderation; the dumplings are not spicy themselves, but this is "Sukhumi-style" too much; the giblets taste the best of all the food; khachapur is not bad, there is a lot of filling, not too salty.
The wine was taken on the advice of the staff, the norms.
The service is very, very fast (the hall is full, the veranda is half empty).

A wonderful place!
On the first day in Sukhumi, I started looking for a place to eat and here it is perfect.
Beautiful interior, you can sit and enjoy the view.
Food is a delight. We took different food and everything was very tasty. Here you can eat on a regular basis and enjoy. It won't get boring.

The kitchen is great, the service is beyond praise. For 5 people, for the first time, the check was 4.3 full to the brim. The second time, with wine, juices, tea and desserts, 6 thousand people came out for the same 5 people. The prices are quite affordable, and the portions are huge.

I happened to be here in September. There was pandemonium inside, people were sitting on each other's heads. The sanitary room was shared by men and women. The open kitchen, where anyone could probably enter, was adjacent to the toilet.
I went to wash my hands, waiting in the hallway. A cockroach was crawling along the wall. There was a girl in front of the door (the same guest who was queuing for the toilet), the cleaner handed her a roll of toilet paper to hang it up. That's the picture.
The order didn't arrive for a long time, but fortunately I didn't get poisoned.

We visited this cafe according to reviews. An interesting place. The interior of the monastery is like in a museum: statuettes, dishes, black and white photographs. We ordered a frying pan with giblets - I recommend it! Be sure to add lavash to them to dip. A portion of dumplings with cheese (well, so-so, they ate tastier) . And for a sample of 3 more boiled khinkali with cheese - I wouldn't take any more either. In principle, I would recommend this cafe!

The most delicious khinkali in the city. We ate twice, both times we had to wait a little for the landing. The first time everything went fine, the second time we didn't like the service. The waitress forgot to warn about the long wait for the khinkali, they heard it by chance when they took an order at the next table. Then they mixed up and took our order to another table, we had to wait some more. We waited a total of 1.10 minutes for 10 hinkals. We didn't go there anymore.

In my opinion, this is the best cafe in the city. We were there for the first time 2 years ago-I remember that it was delicious, fast, polite and at reasonable prices.
In January 2024, we rested in Sukhum again -we ate mainly in it. Yes, there are queues, you have to wait-but believe me, it's worth it.
The recommendation to the owners is that when a queue gathers in winter, put 2-3 teapots with tea and paper cups on the summer veranda. Believe me, people will appreciate the care. And the wait won't be that long.

I was not in the cafe itself, I ordered delivery several times with my wife.
Delivery in the city is about an hour, quite adequate.
We tried: khinkali with veal, ordinary and fried, both chebureks, borscht, solyanka, kharcho, pizza, pita bread, boat.
There were nuances: the cartilage in the cheburek was caught; the hodgepodge was sooo spicy, without smoked meat; the boat was a little strange in shape, the cheese had a curd consistency.
But, overall, it's delicious. We will come to Sukhum again - we will definitely order in Muhus!
