The madrasah, whose size could be envied by Bukhara and Khiva (52 by 72 meters), is a visual monument to that peaceful flourishing, which was replaced by expansion to exhaustion under the next monarchs.
It is functioning and fenced, and given the difficult relations of the Uzbek authorities with Islam, it is not very clear who this fence covers from whom. But a very beautiful door with an unusual geometric pattern is perfectly visible through it
